Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) announces the selection of a qualified Trainer to conduct a series of offline trainings for PAH staff in Mykolaiv. The trainings are aimed at improving mental stability, crisis communication skills, negotiations, team interaction and personal effectiveness in difficult humanitarian conditions.

CONTEXT:

Since the escalation of the war in Ukraine, PAH has been continuously providing humanitarian aid in the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. The local staff who are the backbone of this operation work under significant pressure in dangerous and unstable conditions. Prolonged exposure to stress, combined with the challenges of providing assistance in an active combat zone, has placed a significant strain on the psycho-emotional state of workers and team cohesion.

To ensure the resilience, effectiveness and ability of PAH personnel to support long-term humanitarian operations, it is important to provide them with specialized training. This training will focus on the development of mental resilience, crisis communication, negotiation skills, team interaction and personal effectiveness in order to provide employees with practical tools to overcome stress, maintain motivation and strengthen their ability to work as a single team in difficult conditions. communication and teamwork effectiveness of PAH personnel working in the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, thereby increasing their ability to cope with stress, remain effective in their positions and continue to provide high-quality humanitarian assistance.

2.2 Specific objectives

  • To provide PAH employees with practical knowledge and tools on mental resilience, stress management and personal effectiveness in wartime conditions.
  • Develop communication skills and negotiation skills for use in crisis situations, helping to build trust and confidence.
  • Improve staff's ability to think critically, analyze situations and make decisions under pressure.
  • Improve teamwork through defining common goals, effective crisis communication and strengthening collaboration.
  • Provide practical exercises in modern presentation and interviewing skills aimed at increasing professional competence and confidence.

LIST OF SERVICES:

  • Conducting training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and specific needs.
  • Developing training materials, including handouts, for PAH program team members based on the results of the training needs assessment and coordinating these materials with PAH.
  • Conducting offline trainings for PAH staff from using developed and approved materials.

METHODOLOGY OF SERVICE PROVISION:

The trainer must apply modern methods and practices in the field of effective communication and public speaking for non-governmental organizations, taking into account research and practical cases. Training activities must be organized and planned in cooperation with PAH management and using non-technical methodsformal education and interactive tools to ensure an engaged and practically oriented learning process.

RESULTS and REPORTING:

Expected results:

  • 80% of PAH employees who participated in the training reported increased knowledge and skills in the field of effective communication and public speaking.

Reporting:

  • Lists training attendees.
  • Trainer reports including training needs assessment and analysis of pre- and post-training testing results.
  • Handouts.
  • Invoice for services rendered for payment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the field in communication, public speaking, or related fields, demonstrating high competence in effectively communicating information to diverse audiences;
  • 2+ years of experience as a trainer specializing in effective communication and public speaking, with proven ability to deliver effective training sessions and facilitate skill development;
  • Experience in non-formal education as well as strong facilitation skills to create an engaged, audience-oriented participants in an environment that promotes active participation and hands-on learning; 
  • 3 testimonials from previous contractors or clients;
  • Certificates in communication, public speaking or related fields that demonstrate commitment to professional development and competence in the subject of study.;
  • Availability of developed training materials and tools for effective communication and public speaking.
