Trainee Software Engineer (a great start in IT) in Expedite Logistics

We are looking for a Trainee Software Engineer to join our team to participate in the development and support of internal and client software products. This position is ideal for software development beginners, students or candidates with minimal experience who want to gain hands-on experience in commercial projects and grow with a team.

We are open to candidates with no experience, minimal work experience, as well as technical students.

Primary Responsibilities: 
Software Development

• Participate in development new functional modules under the guidance of a mentor

• Writing clean, understandable and maintainable code

• Implementation of simple tasks according to technical requirements

• Gradual involvement in more complex parts of the project

Support and improvement of the product

• Fixing bugs and small errors in codes

• Optimization of existing solutions

• Participation in code refactoring

• Working with the existing code base and documentation

Teamwork

• Interaction with Software Engineers, Team Lead and QA

• Participation in code review (receiving and considering feedback)

• Work with version control systems (Git)

• Participation in daily team meetings

Learning and development

• Learning internal development standards

• Familiarity with project architecture

• Constant improvement of technical skills

• Application of acquired knowledge in practice

Requirements for the candidate:

• Basic knowledge of one of the programming languages (for example: JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, PHP - depending on the direction)

• Understanding the basics of programming, algorithms and data structures

• Basic understanding of the principles OOP

• Willingness to learn and develop

• Attention to detail and responsibility

• Ability to work in a team

• Work experience is not required

Will be an advantage:

• Education in a technical specialty

• Experience educational or pet projects

• Basic knowledge of databases

• Understanding of client-server architecture

• Salary from UAH 33,000 to 38,000
