Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a Trainee QA Engineer with minimal practical experience or a graduate of QA courses who is ready to learn and grow in the field of Quality Assurance. This is a great opportunity to kick-start your career with support from an experienced mentor.
Your responsibilities during the probation period:
Studying internal testing standards and approaches.
Creating and maintaining automated tests for WEB/Mobile/API (based on ready-made frameworks).
Working with test automation tools: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, WDIO, Pytest (depending on the project).
Detecting, describing, and verifying defects in the system; working with bug trackers (e.g., Jira).
Writing and maintaining test documentation: checklists, test cases for automation.
Running automated tests in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and analyzing results.
Working with databases (writing SQL queries to check test data).
Participating in team meetings, discussing technical solutions, receiving feedback from the mentor.
Developing practical skills in manual and automated testing, focusing on quality, stability, and reliability of checks.
Required skills and knowledge:
Basic understanding of testing theory: types of testing, bug lifecycle, test design techniques.
Ability to manually test web or mobile applications: checking functionality, UI, validations, negative scenarios.
Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and the role of QA in it.
Theoretical knowledge of automated testing (course or pet project experience is a plus).
Basic programming knowledge (Python or JavaScript).
Understanding of OOP principles and code structure.
Basic Git skills.
Entry-level knowledge of SQL (simple SELECTs, filtering, basic JOINs are a plus).
Basic understanding of API (RESTful) and experience with tools like Postman.
English — Intermediate+ (able to read technical documentation, write in work messengers, and understand tasks).
Will be a plus:
Participation in educational or pet projects (sharing code samples is a plus).
Familiarity with test automation tools: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, etc.
Understanding or experience running tests in CI/CD environments (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Basic Docker skills (e.g., running tests in containers).
Bash scripting basics (writing simple scripts or commands).
Knowledge of UIAutomator2 and/or XCUITest (for Android/iOS testing).
Experience working with test reports (Allure, Playwright, or similar tools).
