We seek an experienced Data Engineer to be part of the On Demand Telemetry and common store teams, within our partner’s Platform. We are looking for experienced candidates with strong knowledge of data architecture and the skills associated with Power BI and Azure data services such as ADX and Fabric.

This team is building commercial software that simplifies and improves critical enterprise data management. The team member will design, develop, test, and deploy data services utilizing the latest software best practices.

The candidate will work in an agile, SCRUM team, using the latest technologies, and coding environments, focused on cloud-based products. We are working on building cloud-native SaaS solutions using the latest technologies in the Microsoft Azure platform.

The successful candidate should be an enthusiastic professional who is deeply interested in new technologies and can learn things quickly and communicate effectively with different teams.

Responsibilities:

— Work on an R&D team building a platform-based serverless and/or containerized cloud-native SaaS solutions using the latest technologies in the Microsoft Azure platform;

— Work on a team dedicated to providing Telemetry insights on our SaaS solutions;

— Transforming and displaying the data to support the business requirements. This will include transformation, cleansing, aggregating, and normalizing the data to support the reporting requirements of the business;

— Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across various data layers.

Requirements:

— Proven expertise in Power BI, with a strong focus on data modeling, including the creation and management of fact and dimension tables;

— Advanced skills in data transformation using Power Query, DAX, and calculated measures;

— Ability to create complex and insightful reporting visualizations;

— Design and implement data architectures using the medallion architecture (bronze, silver, and gold) and snowflake schemas with bridge tables;

— Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Data Explorer (ADX) for data ingestion and transformation;

— Preferably, proven expertise and experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse implementations using Spark;

— Experience in development and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for the development and deployment of data artifacts;

— A working knowledge of Azure DevOps (ADO) is preferred.

Qualifications:

• Good understanding of modern software practices including design patterns, SOLID principles, coding standards, and agile software development practices.
• Experience in writing quality code with techniques such as unit testing, mocking, automation, integration testing, and code coverage.
• Experience building Cloud Native applications on Azure or AWS using PaaS services
• Ability to produce and document designs and specifications for new features and services
• Experience working with multiple agile development teams
• Demonstrated good verbal and written English communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
