We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join our team.
Required:
- Basic technical training: solid understanding of the principles of computer systems, operating systems and the basics of network interaction (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S);
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills: ability to work with ready-made instructions, runbooks and knowledge base to diagnose and eliminate typical technical problems;
- Communication skills: clear and professional spoken and written English; strong written communication skills are especially important;
- Customer-oriented approach: professional and result-oriented attitude in interaction with users;
- Organization: ability to work with several tickets at the same time, monitor the status of requests, provide timely updates and maintain correct documentation;
- Working with monitoring and alerts: prompt response to notifications, performing basic checks of the status of systems and acting according to response procedures;
- Team interaction: ability communicate effectively with internal teams and escalate tasks with full context and proper documentation;
- Willingness to shift schedule: work 12-hour shifts (9:00-21:00 / 21:00-9:00) according to 2 day shifts / 2 weekend / 2 night shifts. Once every few months, a format of 3 shifts in a row with the following 3 days off is possible.
It will be an advantage:
- Experience in technical support, IT support or customer support;
- Basic experience of working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure);
- Knowledge of web servers and hosting control panels (Plesk, WHM/cPanel);
- Initial scripting skills (Bash, Python);
- Practical experience of working with Linux and/or Windows servers;
- Understanding the principles of web services and databases (for example, MySQL, MSSQL);
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (CheckMK, Prometheus, Grafana);
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins;
- Experience with GitHub or GitLab;
- Experience using any ticketing systems.
