DRBs will continue to implement their set of long-term solutions to address challenges within changing circumstances.

DRB is currently looking for a highly qualified Technical Manager of a social-legal protection projectfor work in our office at Kiev.

General purpose of the role:

DRB has one of the most diverse protection programs in Ukraine, including legal, gender-based violence, socio-legal and general protection programs covering the north, east and south of the country.

As the Technical Project Manager for Social and Legal Protection, you will play an important role in defining the strategic direction of the DRB protection programs and ensuring high quality implementation of the protection programs. You will provide overall technical leadership of all aspects of the DRB protection programs, including the provision of technical support and supervision of DRB defense teams and activities, as well as the development of technical documents and conducting trainings when necessary You must have a high level of understanding of the defense environment in Ukraine and be able to advise on program and strategy development, as well as inform external stakeholders to help prioritize resources and programs.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Strategy and program development

  • Ensure the compliance of the DRB protection programs and strategies with both the technical capabilities and benefits of the DRB and the contextual needs of the people who need support.
  • Provide support in the development of high-quality, scientific reasonable proposals, as well as check and supportencourage the development of high-quality reports.
  • Ensure effective protection information management, which contributes to obtaining reliable data on protection needs in Ukraine for the development of programs and response activities, as well as advocacy priorities, and ensure the dissemination of PIM products among all stakeholders.

Program quality and technical support

  • Develop technical documents such as guidelines, SOPs, evaluation tools and programs, etc. that will enable DRB to implement high-quality programs in line with global and national standards.
  • Establish strong relationships and effective coordination with Regional Managers, Regional Program Managers and Defense Managers, ensuring that needs are understood and responded to as needed.
  • Provide in-depth training, dedicated support and regular supervision of defense program teams to ensure that the teams have the appropriate knowledge and capacity to effectively implement all defense projects in DRB to a high standard.
  • Develop tools and capacity development plans for strategic defense in DRB, and also develop a monitoring and supervision system to ensure the high quality of implementation of measures by partners.

External representation and coordination

  • Represent the DRB in relevant coordination forums, such as the National Defense Cluster, Strategic Advisory Group, technical working groups, etc.
  • Assist the program manager to interact with various stakeholders, such as donors, in order to inform about the DRB's protection programs and priorities, as well as to support advocacy and resource mobilization.

Team management

  • Manage the department for social and legal protection of DRB in Ukraine, setting clear goals and providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Implement regular mechanisms for coordination and management of the department for social and legal protection - legal protection of DRB to ensure high-quality and up-to-date support for program teams, as well as adjustment of priorities if necessary.

About you

To be successful in this position, we expect you to have at least 3-5 years of practical experience in social welfare administration.In addition, we also expect you to:

  • Master's degree in international relations, humanities or development studies, business administration, social work or other relevant field
  • Previous experience in a technical position would be an advantage
  • < li>Demonstrated experience working in multiple countries in complex crisis settings
  • Knowledge and experience of working with donors such as BHA, OCHA, ECHO etc.
  • Full nprofessional command of the English language
