ABOUT THE ROLE:

This is a key managerial role in the commercial department, combining technical expertise and managerial responsibility for the implementation of a portfolio of projects.

Subordination to the commercial director. This is a new role in the company structure, aimed at developing a systematic approach to project management.

The company employs 7 project managers with strong technical expertise and project management experience. Project managers operationally report to the Commercial Director, and the technical director performs functional management of the PM team from the point of view of:

• technical solutions;

• project implementation standards;

• quality of work;

• observance of budgets and deadlines.

Role may include independent management of individual projects as a PM, which allows you to directly influence team effectiveness and raise management standards. The main thing in the future is management influence on the entire portfolio of company projects and the development of the project management system.

MAIN TASKS:

Project management:

• Ensuring the achievement of project indicators in terms of quality, terms and budgets;

• Participation in project planning together with by the PM team;

• Control of the technical and economic feasibility of decisions within the approved budgets;

• Analysis of the risks of project implementation and participation in management decisions;

• Participation in the financial analysis of projects together with the PM and the Commercial Director.

Managing the team and interaction:

• Functional management of project managers (7 PM);

• Establishment and control of compliance with technical and project standards;

• Consulting and expert support of the PM team;

• Participation in the development of PM competencies and assessment of work quality;

• Interaction with Commercial director regarding the portfolio of probjects;

• Participation in technical meetings with customers, contractors and suppliers

Requirements

• Higher education in the field of construction / engineering (H&M, automation is an advantage);

• Experience of 5 years in the implementation of commercial engineering projects;

• Management experience: management of projects, teams, control of results;

• Experience of managing projects - ensuring the fulfillment of the budget, deadlines and quality standards;

• System thinking, ability to implement and maintain processes;

• Active management position - role not office-based, involves regular interaction with the team and customers;

• A confident PC user, Excel, understanding the logic of estimates and financial calculations;

• Leadership and communication skills, the ability to motivate and support the PM team;

• A strong advantage will be expertise in project management and professional training (for example, PRO PM);

• In the absence of such training, experience in a system company and willingness, with the support of the company, to undergo training in PRO PM is mandatory.
