Position description

We are looking for a Team Lead - Operational Logistics who will be responsible for managing a team of logisticians working with multimodal transportation (focus: maritime and road transport), as well as for the quality, efficiency and control of operational processes.

The position combines operational expertise, team management and process control.

Main responsibilities:

Operational management

• Leading a team of logisticians performing marine and automotive transportation

• Control of import, export and intra-European transportation at all stages

• Solution of complex operational issues, delays and escalations
  
  

Team management

• Distribution of tasks, load and efficiency control teams

• Adaptation, training and mentoring of trainees, junior and experienced logisticians

• Control of compliance with internal procedures, SLA and quality standards

Processes and systems

• Control of correctness of data management in CRM and TMS (Microsoft Dynamics)

contractors

• Tariff control, carrier selection and cost optimization

• Evaluation of carrier efficiency and service quality

Compliance and quality control

• Ensuring compliance with international norms, Incoterms and internal policies

• Control risks, documentation correctness and claims support

Candidate requirements

• 5+ years of experience in international logistics or forwarding activities

• Strong practical experience of working with European counterparties, in particular ports, customers, carriers and vendors. 

• Practical experience in sea tand road transportation

• Experience in the position of Senior Specialist / Team Lead / Supervisor is an advantage

• Deep understanding of import-export procedures, documentation and Incoterms

• Experience with CRM / TMS systems (Microsoft Dynamics - an advantage)

• Knowledge English at professional working level

• Strong management, communication and organizational skills

• Structural thinking and result orientation

Position Overview

We are seeking a Team Lead – Logistics Operations who will be responsible for managing a team of logistics specialists handling multimodal transportation, with a primary focus on sea and road freight, as well as ensuring service quality, operational efficiency, and process control. This role combines hands-on operational expertise, team leadership, and process management. Key responsibilities: Operational Management

• Lead and supervise a team of logistics specialists managing sea and road freight operations

• Oversee import, export, and intra-European shipments across all operational stages

• Resolve complex operational issues, delays, and escalation cases

Team Leadership

• Allocate tasks, manage workloads, and monitor team performance

• Onboard, train, and mentor interns, junior, and senior logistics specialists

• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, SLAs, and quality standards

Processes & Systems

• Ensure accuracy and consistency of data in CRM and TMS systems (Microsoft Dynamics)

• Optimize operational workflows, documentation standards, and internal procedures

• Participate in the implementation and continuous improvement of internal IT solutions

Carrier & Partner Management

• Manage relationships with carriers, ports, agents, vendors, and subcontractors

• Oversee rate management, carrier selection, and cost optimization

• Evaluate carrier performance and service quality

Compliance & Quality Control

• Ensure compliance with international regulations, Incoterms, and internal policies

• Monitor operational risks, documentation accuracy, and support claims management

Candidate Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in international logistics or freight forwarding

• Strong hands-on experience working with European counterparts, including ports, clients, carriers, and vendors

• Proven operational experience in sea and road freight transportation

• Previous experience as Senior Specialist / Team Lead / Supervisor is a strong advantage

• In-depth knowledge of import/export procedures, transport documentation, and Incoterms

• Experience working with CRM / TMS systems (Microsoft Dynamics is a strong advantage)

• Professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Structured, analytical mindset with a strong results-oriented approach
