Support and Maintenance Engineer (Office in Dnipro) in Fractured Byte

We are looking for a Junior Support and Maintenance Engineer to strengthen our team. If you have basic experience or a strong desire to develop in system administration and office infrastructure support, and want to join the world of game development, this role will be a great start to your career.

Your main responsibilities:

• Ensuring the smooth functioning of the IT infrastructure of the office: Support for the stable operation of IT systems and equipment in the city of Dnipro.
• Support and servicing of workers workstations: Installation, configuration, upgrades and comprehensive support of workstations for employees, as well as providing the first line of technical support for IT issues.
• Management of requests and incidents: Analysis, assessment and resolution of technical requests; if necessary, escalate incidents to the appropriate specialists.
• Collaboration with the infrastructure team and other departments: Close cooperation to design, build and maintain the infrastructure that ensures the operation of our games and supports joint projects.
• Access Control: Validate and request access for internal users.
• Documentation: Systematically document technical processes and solutions in Confluence.
• Support for gaming devices: Maintenance and support for gaming consoles such as PlayStation, Nintendo, Xbox.
• System monitoring: Monitoring the health and performance of systems using tools such as Grafana.
• Automation of routine tasks: Development and implementation of scripts using Bash, Powershell to optimize processes.

Required professional experience:

We are looking for a specialist with experience in system administration, who has:

• System administrator experience: Minimum 1+ year of practical experience working with office infrastructure.
• Knowledge of Windows: Experience supporting client operating systems (Windows 10, 11) and Windows Server (Active Directory, Group Policy).
• Understanding of network principles: Clear understanding of DNS, DHCP, OSI model, routing and switching protocols.

The following skills and experience will be a significant advantage:

• Understanding Linux fundamentals, experience in support, automation and configuration.
• Experience configuring Mikrotik network equipment. Upgrade, support, basic operations.
• Experience using task management systems such as Jira ServiceDesk or analogues such as Redmine.
• Experience in managing virtualized environments based on VMware.
• Experience with backup systems (Veeam, Bacula, etc.).
• Experience using GSuite or other corporate mail systems.
• Experience with and support for game consoles (PlayStation, Nintendo, Xbox).
