Strong Junior Manual QA Engineer (Apps) in Ajax Systems

R&D is responsible for device development at Ajax, which consists of four departments: System, Device, Automation and QA.

p>About the project you will work with

The Ajax Systems company develops not only wireless security systems, but also its own software. These are mobile applications for Android and iOS, as well as desktop applications for Windows and MacOS. They help our users connect and configure the system themselves, as well as manage system health. PRO versions of mobile applications and PRO Desktop, in addition to the functions of the regular application, include a professional set of functions created specifically for security and monitoring companies. A user-friendly application actually contains complex logic and many dependencies.  It manages the entire Ajax system, so the QA team must guarantee the correct and stable operation of the application under all conditions. 

at all its levels - from the action performed by the device to its display on the GUI of the application. We analyze requirements and technical documentation for new developments and functionality, starting testing at the early stages of development, and also develop matrices of compliance with requirements. The QA team creates test scenarios for further automation by the AQA team. To optimize our work, we prioritize test cases and also use our own test case parameterization system. We interact with our beta testers and receive feedback and inquiries from end users through the technical support department. We conduct research into incorrect system behavior with the help of logs, external manifestations, and identify cause-and-effect relationships. We use QA Tools, emulators, Mock server and much more in our work. We approach testing creatively, so we constantly try to improve and optimize processes by implementing new ideas, introducing new approaches, developing and improving our product. To support the quality and stability of the system, we are looking for a Strong Junior Manual Quality Assurance Engineer .

Needed skills:

• 1+ year of experience in manual testing of mobile applications;
• excellent knowledge of theory testing;
• ability to apply test design techniques;
• knowledge of SDLC; experience working with business requirements, TOR;
• experience working with JIRA, Confluence, Testrail (or alternative);
• experience working with application logs;
• experience working with Xcode, Android studio, PyCharm;
• basic understanding of client-server architecture;
• goodand analytical abilities;
• the ability not only to find defects, but also the cause-and-effect relationship;
• high level of self-organization.
