UKEESS Software House is looking for Strong Junior DevOps (with Java)full-time (either in the office in Lviv, or with the possibility of remote cooperation in Ukraine).
About the customer:
This is one of the world's largest family history and DNA resources. With the help of this service and DNA analysis, for example, it is possible to determine ethnic origin, susceptibility to allergies, various diseases, features of body structure, etc. (now there are about 100 predictions in terms of DNA analysis). You can also build your family tree based on more than 30 billion digitized archival records (in the USA) from the 18th century. (+ this number is constantly growing) and learn interesting facts about your ancestors. In general, our customer is considered the largest in its space. :)About the project and team:
You will join the Data Science Engineering team working on projects related to DNA research. This is a small Agile team working on a new project from scratch. The project is related to the creation of a DNA genealogical tree based on more than 1 trillion DNA links. The team will use ML, Data Engineering and smart data storage to create this project.
Duties of our future colleague:
Working with various AWS services, creating new services using Terraform, configuring communication between services and the application span>
Work on development of REST API microservices and their management, exchange and aggregation of data from various microservices
Working with data pipelines span>
Working with data, resolving and resolving agreed discrepancies through data analysis and finding opportunities for continuous data improvement.
Determining the possibility of automation in current analitic processes and close cooperation with the team of architects on the implementation of solutions.
Required experience and skills:
2+ years of commercial experience in a DevOps position
In-depth knowledge and commercial experience with the Amazon Web Services ecosystem (S3, EC2, SNS, SQS, Lambda, Secret Manager)
Strong knowledge and experience with Spring Boot< /span>
Strong knowledge and commercial experience with Terraform
Experience with CI/CD
Commercial experience with relational databases (preferably MySQL)
Experience in data mining, large-scale data collection, auditing, transformation and cleansing of both structured and unstructured data
English: above average at least (spoken and written)

Team of UKEESS Software House is currently looking for aStrong Junior DevOps Engineer (with Java) to join our team for a full-time position (remotely in Ukraine or in Lviv's office).
About the Customer:
Our customer is the world's largest DNA network from the USA. With more than 30 billion digitized global historical records, 130 million family trees, and 18+ million people in their growing database, our customers help people discover their family stories and gain actionable insights about their health and wellness.
About the Project and Team:
You will join the Science Engineering team working on DNA research projects. This team builds a high-impact feature from scratch. Our team will work on building a DNA-only pedigree showing the relationships between people. We have more than 1 trillion DNA relationships in our database, and we will work to get the data into the right places to infer how people are related to each other. We will use machine learning, data engineering, and smart data storage to build this system.
Responsibilities include:
Work with various AWS services, create new services using Terraform, configure communication between the services and application
Work on and guide microservice REST API design, communicating and aggregating data from different microservices
Working with enterprise tools engineer to deploy the data pipelines
Evaluate large datasets, address and resolve reconcilable discrepancies through data analysis, and find opportunities for continuous data improvement.
Identify automation opportunities within current analytics processes and work closely with the architecture team to implement the solution.
Required skills:
2+ years of professional experience in a DevOps role
Good knowledge and commercial experience with the Amazon Web Services ecosystem (S3, EC2, SNS, SQS, Lambda, Secret Manager)
Strong knowledge and commercial experience with Java and Spring Boot
Strong knowledge and experience with Terraform
Experience development & maintenance of CI/CD pipelines
Commercial experience with relational databases (MySQL is preferable)
Experience in data mining, large-scale data acquisition, auditing, transformation, and cleaning, both structured and unstructured data
English: Upper-intermediate at least (both spoken and written)
