JOB INFORMATION

The position of Partnership Specialist is key to supporting the program in Ukraine. The primary objective of this position is to support the portfolio of partnerships and facilitate the program to ensure effective management of sub-grants and building of strong, sustainable partners, with high standards and compliance. The Partnership Specialist will support the Partnership Manager in the day-to-day management of IRC subgrants.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate effective partnerships:
    1. Promote and implement the IRC's Partnership Excellence for Equity and Results (PEERS) framework. 
    2. Contribute to the formation of a deep understanding of PEERS throughout the IRC program in Ukraine and ensure the application of IRC principles, skills and approaches in the work of employees with partners through programs and projects
  • Partnership Management Support: 
    1. Assist in the overall management of all partnerships as assigned by the Senior Partnership Specialist and/or Partnership Manager, as well as in PEERS processes / documentation
    2. Support the program team in conducting meetings to open, review and finalize partnership projects
    3. Assist in the narrative and financial reporting processes, including review and feedback< /li>
    4. Provide administrative support and translation to IRC functional leaders as needed to ensure timely and effective review and reflection of partner programs, finance and compliance (monitoring)
    5. Maintain complete and organized partnership files for each partner. o Maintain up-to-date partnership project tracker / monitoring schedule
    6. Support IRC functional leaders to ensure smooth completion of partnership projects whenever possible.
  • Execute any other tasks determined by the Senior Partnership Specialist and/or the Partnership Manager REQUIREMENTS 

     Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in international development or relations, finance, business or related field; having a master's degree will be an advantage - or equivalentwork experience

    Work experience:Minimum 1 year of experience working with international or local non-governmental organizations (preferred) or other organizations that required managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment

    Available skills and abilities:

    • Experience of working with partners
    • Awareness of basic rules and requirements of donors
    • High organization, attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a constantly changing environment
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and in coordination with other teams
    • Willingness to occasionally travel to field offices and partner locations
    • Professional command of spoken and written English, Ukrainian and/or Russian; ability to express thoughts clearly
    • High level of computer skills

     

    REPORT STRUCTURE AND TEAMWORK

    • Reports to: Partnership Manager
    • Other internal and/or external contacts: the position involves regular communication and participation in meetings with internal and external audiences, so strong communication skills and the ability to maintain positive working relationships are essential for this role
      1. Internal contacts: Technical coordinators, partnership staff, finance team, supply chain team, program teams.
      2. External contacts: employees of partners

    IRC takes a zero-tolerance approach to wrongdoing and takes all necessary measures and takes corrective action when it receives information about wrongdoing. The IRC investigative unit consists of specialists and qualified investigators who conduct professional investigations focused on the interests of victims. They get involved if security violations are reported through the reliable and convenient communication channels that IRC creates for its employees, partners and customers. The IRC is also an active member of the Interagency Working Group on Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Violence (PSEA) established in Ukraine.
