We are looking for Education Officerin the Northern Regional Office in Kyiv.

Your duties will include:- Adherence to NRC policies, instructions and procedures
- Strict compliance with the NRC Code of Conduct
- Implement the educational project in accordance with the action plan
- Ensure that projects target the beneficiaries most in need of protection, and explore and evaluate new and better ways of delivering aid.
- Communicate and collaborate with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders
- Promoting the rights of IDPs/returnees according to the advocacy strategy
- Participate in developing, editing, or reviewing programs
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of team member activities and liaise with appropriate colleagues to resolve issues.
- Implement educational activities under the guidance of the Coordinator of educational projects.
- Develop and maintain effective document management systems, both electronic and paper.
- Oversee educational needs assessment at school/youth level in NRC target regions.
- Develop weekly and monthly work plans in accordance with program plans and logical-structural schemes.
- Facilitating school restoration processes, including working closely with the technical team (selection of schools, conducting tenders, monitoring visits during the renovation process and documenting each stage).< /li>
- Provide support to NRC activities, including facilitating trainings, supporting schools and youth activities, directly and through local partners in accordance with NRC quality standards.
- Support the development and contextualization of training packages
- Independent supervision of multiple rounds of educational training, including supervision of multiple schools, venues and trainers.
- Ensure ongoing monitoring, tracking and reporting of educational projects.< /li>
- Monitoring costs and purchase requests on behalf of the project manager and ensuring proper control by the logistics and field team.
- Regular field trips to support and monitor educational and training activities.
- Control the purchase and distribution of educational materials and provide official information on the needs of schools.
- Maintain positive working relationships with teachers, school principals and representatives of the Ministry of Education.
- Any other tasks related to the position at the request of the immediate supervisor.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a humanitarian/rehabilitation context
- Previous experience working in complex and unstable environments ; ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience (education, social services including psychosocial support/psychology or other relevant fields)
- Documented technical competencies related to job responsibilities.
- Technical knowledge in humanitarian sector is an advantage.
- Experience in developing psychosocial support programs in the field of education
- Experience in conducting trainings for adults ( teacher training/training of trainers is an advantage) or similar experience
- Knowledge of the basics of child protection and/or psychosocial support
- Experience of working with youth through recreation and/or professional training
- Knowledge of the education system in Ukraine
- Working knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
- Fluency in Ukrainianlanguage.
We offer:
- Employment contract until December 31, 2024 with the possibility of extension.
- Official salary and health insurance.
- Working hours: 9.00-17.00, Saturday, Sunday - holidays.
