Ukrainian network for children's rights (hereinafter - UMPD)was created to consolidate efforts and improve coordination between civil society organizations in Ukraine and their influence on state policy in the field of ensuring children's rights.

Task: to provide expert support for the development of an effective, accessible and needs-oriented system of social services for children and families in the target communities of the project, promotion interdepartmental interaction and support for the sustainability of changes.

Responsibilities:

  • collection, systematization and analysis of data on the state of social services provision in the target communities of the project;
  • identification of gaps and potential directions for improving the provision of services;
  • providing expert advisory support in the further development of an integrated system of social services;
  • development of practical recommendations for organization and provision of services for children and families;
  • consultative support for the development and implementation of local programs in the field of child protection and development of social services;
  • monitoring of events (trainings, consultations, workshops, supervisions, etc.) for representatives of local governments, working groups, NGOs, social workers of the project's target communities;
  • ensuring effective communication and interaction with project partners: state authorities of all levels, local self-government, NGOs and other stakeholders to ensure consistency of actions within the framework of project implementation;
  • organizational support of meetings with representatives of local government, working groups and coordination councils of target communities of the project;
  • presentation of interests and results of project implementation at meetings of working groups of all levels, coordination meetings with partners and representatives of the Donor, forums, seminars and other thematic activities.
  • monitoring and advisory support for infrastructure renewal of Social Service Centers in target communities for the effective provision of social services for children and families;
  • monitoring and advisory support for the purchase of necessary equipment for the provision of social services in target communities in accordance with their needs;
  • support for raising the awareness of the population of target communities about social services for children and families;
  • monitoring visits to target community of the project;
  • preparation of analytical, descriptive and reporting materials in accordance with the requirements of the project and at the request of the Customer/Donor of the project.

Requirements:

  • higher education in the field of social work, social pedagogy, public administration or in another related field;
  • experience in the field of child protection, social services or community development - no less 5 years;
  • knowledge of legislation in the field of child rights protection and social protection;
  • experience of working with children, families and people from vulnerable categories;
  • understanding of the specifics of the work of state authorities, services for children, centers of social services and social protection;
  • knowledge of the principles of integrated development of social services at the community level, deinstitutionalization approachesand family-oriented models;
  • experience of conducting analytics, monitoring and preparation of analytical, descriptive and reporting materials;
  • experience of providing expert advisory support and development of practical recommendations;
  • experience of interaction and coordination with partners, representatives of state authorities at all levels, local self-government, NGOs;
  • experience of working in the sector of non-governmental organizations advantage;
  • responsibility, organization and result orientation;
  • excellent communication skills, the ability to establish effective interaction with various stakeholders;
  • readiness to solve difficult situations;
  • readiness for business trips within Ukraine;
  • confident command of a computer (MS Office, Excel);
  • fluency in Ukrainian language;
  • proficiency in English will be an advantage.
