GENERAL INFORMATION
BF "Right to Protection" (hereinafter - the Fund) is a recognized leader of the human rights movement in Ukraine. The Foundation has strong positions in the field of protection of the rights of internally displaced persons (IDPs), refugees and stateless persons. Since the beginning of the military invasion in Eastern Ukraine, the Fund has been monitoring the situation of the protection of the rights of IDPs, providing legal and psychosocial assistance and strengthening humanitarian response in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Today the Fund works in almost all regional centers and communities within the respective regions. The Fund is an executive partner of the UNHCR and implements programs for the provision of direct legal assistance throughout Ukraine, promotes changes in the national legal framework, bringing it into line with international standards in the field of human rights.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION p>
The position will operate withinproject "Inclusive protection networks in Ukraine", which purpose is the creation of an inclusive system of support for veterans, aimed at their social, psychological, legal and economic reintegration through the development of mobile services, strengthening the capacities of public organizations and promoting social cohesion at the community level
Project goal – to provide direct services to veterans and their families, as well as civilians affected by the consequences of war, with a special focus on those living in remote or underserved areas. Special focus of the project aimed at promoting social cohesion through integration measures, building trust and involving communities in the processes of reintegration of veterans.
GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION
Specialist on Social Cohesion and Reintegration of Veterans (hereinafter - the Specialist) will be responsible for maintaining relations and communication with selected target communities, community leaders, groupsMadian organizations in the appropriate location, facilitation of working groups, conducting trainings and integration activities aimed at social inclusion and involvement of veterans and their family members.
The position involves frequent business trips for direct communication with by representatives of the target communities of the above-mentioned regions.
OBLIGATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITY:
Under the direct supervisionSenior specialist in social cohesion and reintegration of veterans and general management of theCoordinator of the Social Cohesion and Understanding Program,and, in conjunction withregionalsenior monitor and specialist (rank) in working with communities, the Specialist will perform the following duties:
Participation in the diagnosis of the sphere of protection of veterans and their families in specified communities, in conducting sociological research and analysis of diagnostic data in the relevant communities (in cooperation with the protection monitoring team of the Fund);
< /li>Formation of working groups, determination of the topics of their work and schedule, holding of facilitation meetings of such groups in two communities determined by the project;
Development and preparation of documents, reports, etc. based on the results of work groups, as well as their presentation;
Participation in the preparation of the meaningful content of integration activities in accordance with the topic determined by the Social Cohesion Coordinator and the program representative;
Conducting integration events, trainings, ensuring their moderation and facilitation;
Development of methodical materials, workbooks, recommendations and other program documents that accompany relevant activities.
Preparation of high-quality and timely reports on the results of integration activities , identification of possible challenges in implementing the project on the ground and their communication within the Foundation team;
Organizational support for trainings, working group meetings, integration events in communities together with the event manager, protection monitoring team and representatives Programs;
Interaction, regular communication and exchange of information with target communities, dstate and non-state institutions, by the Foundation teamto ensure effective implementation of project goals;
Readiness for frequent business trips to monitor and support project implementation in the regions;
Preparation of projects of analytical and monitoring reports in the direction determined by the Coordinator for Social Cohesion and Understanding, as well as documents accompanying these activities;
Regular coordination of activity results with the social cohesion and understanding team to ensure the implementation of the direction strategy and/or making changes to it, if necessary;
Supporting the activities of the Foundation in any other necessary aspects and providing advice to the staff of the Foundation on any social cohesion issues as may be required.
Compliance with all applicable policies and proprocedures of the Foundation, in particular regarding the code of conduct.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Higher education in the field of social, psychological, humanities;
Proven experience in coaching, mediation, facilitation, working with communities;
Experience working with veterans and their families preference;
Understanding humanitarian principles of work;
Fluency in the Ukrainian language;
Readiness for business trips within Ukraine;
Strong communication and organizational skills;
Ability to work with a group and individually;
Ability to establish and maintain contacts;
High level of self-motivation to achieve results;
Cultural sensitivity and diplomacy;
Fair treatment of all people, lack of favoritism.
