BF "Right to Defense" (Fund) is a charitable organization that focuses on providing assistance to internally displaced persons, persons in need of international protection, stateless persons, persons at increased risk statelessness and persons without documents. The Fund is an executive partner of the UNHCR and implements programs for the provision of direct legal assistance throughout Ukraine, promotes changes in the national legal framework, bringing it into line with international standards in the field of human rights.  

Compliance Specialist in assistance works remotely and reports to the Registrar Team Leader. 

Responsibilities< span style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">Specialist in control of compliance with criteria in the provision of assistance provide quality control of conducted surveys and general support of the Fund's activities, in particular, but not limited to the following:

  • Checking registrations internally displaced persons to receive financial assistance;

  • Providing consultations;

  • Working with conflict situations;

  • Reporting on the results of the work performed;

  • Adherence to agreed program criteria and rules;

  • Understanding and ensuring compliance with the Code of Conduct and other Foundation policies.

Required skills/qualifications

  • Higher education (candidates with a law degree will be preferred);

  • Awareness of humanitarian principles and standards of human rights;

  • Knowledge of computer programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint);

  • Good communication skills; 

  • Tolerance; 

  • Good command of the Ukrainian language (understanding of Russian);

  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines;

  • Ability to work closely with team members;

  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail;

  • Self-motivation, initiative, flexibility.

We offer

The Foundation offers the successful candidate a contract until March 30, 2025 with the possibility of extension, depending on further funding and personal work results.
