Software Engineer — Network Analysis and Security Tools

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of network traffic analysis, fingerprinting, and cybersecurity tools. This role will contribute to a variety of products including both open source and proprietary tools. The ideal candidate will have experience in C and Python programming as well as a deep understanding of network protocols. The candidate must be able to quickly build a proof of concept from scratch and iterate rapidly based on feedback to move towards performant production-ready code. This role involves developing new products as well as providing feature enhancements and support for existing products including a Wireshark plugin.

Requirements:

• C and Python programming experience
• Knowledge of network protocols
• Hands-on experience with Wireshark or similar tools
• Familiarity with Linux environments and command-line tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to write solid, maintainable code
• Ability to explain code clearly
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills

Would be a plus:

• Experience contributing to open-source projects, particularly related to network analysis or security
• Familiarity with other programming languages such as JS, Rust, Golang
• Experience with Kernel level programming
