Software Engineer II, iOS in TuneIn

TuneIn is looking for an iOS Software Engineer II to help shape the future of our mobile experience. Our iOS app is at the core of how listeners engage with TuneIn, driving significant listening hours across the platform. As part of a small, highly collaborative team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on millions of users while working with modern technologies.You'll be a key contributor to our team as we continue to modernize our codebase using the latest Swift features and iOS components with an emphasis on writing clean, testable, and maintainable code. Our ideal candidate thrives in enhancing and evolving a well-established codebase, applying meticulous attention to detail and architectural expertise to refine and advance our existing features.Scope of WorkDevelop, test, and maintain new features and improvements for the TuneIn iOS app.Work closely with design and product teams to bring user-friendly, high-performance features to life.Ensure the app remains scalable, reliable, and performant for millions of listeners through weekly releases.Write robust, clean, and testable code that contributes to our evolving codebase.Be a stakeholder in your projects by clarifying requirements, providing technical documentation, and measuring its success.Own your work, ensuring it meets standards of excellence and reliability before deeming any task complete.Participate in code reviews, team planning sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on iOS development experience with Swift.Demonstrated ability to contribute to architectural and design discussions in collaboration with senior engineers.Experience collaborating with Product, Design, and other Engineering teams in an Agile environment.Experience with video/audio streaming technologies and ad services is a plus.Skills & Technical Abilities Strong proficiency in Swift; familiarity with Objective-C is a plus.Solid experience building user interfaces with UIKit and/or SwiftUI, including animations and custom components.Proficiency in working with Swift Package Manager and Git (CI/CD knowledge is a plus)Strong troubleshooting skills.
