About the role: Weare looking for anexperienced and dynamic Software Engineer, DevOps with acurious and creative mindset tojoin the Infrastructure Engineering team. AsaDevOps Engineer, you will play acritical role inshaping our infrastructure and deployment processes. You will develop tools used bythe infrastructure team and the greater engineering organization tohelp inareas like monitoring and alerting, continuous integration, and infrastructure management. You will beresponsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the DevOps practices, infrastructure, and deployment pipelines. You will work closely with cross-functional teams toensure the scalability, security, and reliability ofour technology stack, enabling todeliver exceptional products tousers. This position islocated inLviv, Ukraine. The core team islocated inLviv and primarily works remotely with occasional team meetings inthe office. Requirements: —Bachelor’s degree incomputer science, software engineering, orarelated field. —4+years ofprofessional work experience asasoftware engineer. —Proficiency indeveloping, maintaining, and debugging problems inPython. —Strong understanding ofsoftware engineering principles and best practices, aswell assoftware architecture. —Experience developing different types ofsoftware, including command line tools and web services (such aswith Flask). —Curiosity, creativity, and apassion for building innovative software solutions. —Good knowledge ofengineering best practices and testing (unit test, integration test). —The desire totake ahigh level ofownership ofthe things you workon. —Ability tolearn new things quickly, maintain ahigh bar for quality, and bepragmatic. —Must beable tocommunicate with U.S based teams. —Ability towork 11am— 8pm EEST. Would beaplus: —Experience with cloud infrastructure (especially AWS). —Understanding ofDevOps and SRE philosophy. —Competency inmultiple programming languages— primarily use Python, but others such asRuby, Go, and JavaScript are helpful. —Understanding ofinfrastructure and web application security. —Experience with microservices and Docker container orchestration. —Experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL). Responsibilities: —Build custom tools and automation tohelp company maintain, monitor, and work with the infrastructure and services. —Collaborate with engineers toimprove developer experience and processes around building, deploying, and testing the software. —Manage cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS) tooptimize resource allocation, cost efficiency, and system performance. —Implement security best practices and compliance measures for infrastructure and applications. —Ensure data protection and compliance with relevant regulations. —Set upmonitoring and alerting systems toproactively detect and respond tosystem issues. —Continuously optimize infrastructure and resource usage for performance and cost-effectiveness. —Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices inDevOps, and make recommendations for improving the tech stack and processes.
