DroneOps specialises in advanced navigational systems for UAV operations. We are looking for a software developer to join a team that develops solutions for an aircraft navigation in the conditions of navigational obstacles. MUST HAVE SKILLS: 

• 3+ years of commercial experience as a Software Engineer

• Strong knowledge and experience in Python programming 

• Experience in developing complex distributed systems (multiprocessing / multithreading) 

• Experience in profiling, debugging and optimization of such systems 

• At least an Upper-Intermediate level of English (spoken and written)

• University degree in Computer Science or STEM 

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS: 

• Understanding of drone control systems and related technologies

• Experience with ArduPilot, MAVLink 

• Bayesian filtering (especially Kalman Filters), SLAM

• GameDev skills (C++, Unreal Engine, plugins programming) 

• Experience with CI and test automation 

• Docker, AWS, Jenkins, Graphana, DB management

•  Experience of work in Agile environment

YOUR TASKS MAY INCLUDE: 

• Designing and implementing robust multithreading and multiprocessing systems for drone control

• Troubleshooting, maintaining and profiling to optimize system's performance and reliability

• Developing and maintaining custom Unreal Engine maps with dynamic weather conditions

• Editing and enhancing Unreal Engine C++ plugins (AirSim) to upgrade simulation environments • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate software components and systems
