Senior Test Engineer (Automation) in Simulmedia

Simulmedia is looking for an experienced and dynamic Senior Test Engineer with a curious and creative mindset to join our Automated Test Engineering team. As a Senior Test Engineer at Simulmedia, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software platforms and products. You will help build our test automation efforts, designing and implementing automated testing strategies to ensure our software meets the highest quality standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address issues early in the development cycle, ensuring that our products deliver a seamless and exceptional user experience.This position is located in either Kyiv or Lviv, Ukraine. The team is located in both Kyiv and Lviv and primarily works remotely with occasional team meetings in the Lviv office.RequirementsSolid proficiency in Python or JavaScript (NodeJS/TypeScript) (5+ years)Ability to write and execute clear and consistent codeStrong ability to analyze and identify testing deficits along with the ability to write accurate testsExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressureStrong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.Build custom tools and automation to help us maintain, monitor, and work with our infrastructure and servicesCollaborate with engineers to improve developer experience and processes around testing our softwareContinuously optimize infrastructure and resource usage for performance and cost-effectivenessUse creative thinking to figure out unique ways to test out our platformQualifications5+ years of professional experience in automated test engineering or a related role2+ years of manual testing experience3+ years of experience in API automation, Integration and E2E testingExperience with both Selenium Webdriver and non-Selenium tools like Playwright/Puppeteer/CypressFamiliarity with test runners (Pytest/Jest)Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with test automation integration including GitHub Actions and JenkinsExceptional problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsDemonstrated ability to work independentlyCuriosity, creativity, and a passion for staying current with the latest testing trends and technologiesThe desire to take a high level of ownership of the things you work onAbility to learn new things quickly, maintain a high bar for quality, and be pragmaticMust be able to communicate with U.S based teamsAbility to work 11 am — 8 pm EESTNice To HaveExperience with AWS, including its services and infrastructure.Our Tech StackOur current testing framework utilizes Python, Pytest, Selenium Webdriver and Selenoid.The tech stack for our new testing framework will be defined based on the project requirements and the input from the automation team.We test against dedicated testing environments, as well as Docker images.We are excited to be building out the various perks and benefits for our Ukraine team.
