GENERAL INFORMATION
BF "Right to Defense" (hereinafter - the Fund) is a sector leader in the protection of people who have suffered from war, veterans, refugees and stateless persons. We seek recovery and integration for those we help. Our team protects people's rights and influences laws and decisions in Ukraine and the world to become fairer. We are actively developing a network of partners for localized support of those who need it. The fund is 13 years old. Today, the team of BF "Right to Defense" has about 1,200 specialists. Geography: 22 regions of Ukraine, as well as a representative office in Poland. More than 3,300,000 people have received aid since the start of the full-scale invasion. Our work was recognized at the national level: in 2024, the Foundation won the first place in the "Charity Ukraine" competition in the "All-Ukrainian charity" category, entered the top 10 of the Forbes Ukraine rating of "50 best charitable organizations" and took 9th place in the integrity rating of charitable foundations of Ukraine. Resilience of First Responders" is aimed at protecting and supporting the rights of internally displaced persons, war-affected populations, stateless persons, as well as veterans and their families at the national, local and individual levels. In 2026, the Fund, as part of the project, will monitor the protection of the rights of IDPs and provide free legal assistance to internally displaced persons, stateless persons, veterans and their families in the regions of Ukraine.
The geography of activity includes the Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Odesa, Poltava and Kirovohrad regions. The territory of implementation may change depending on the security situation and the needs of the project.
The main purpose of the work of the Senior Specialist in social support of stateless persons is to ensure and coordinate the provision of high-quality social support services to stateless persons by specialists in social issues.
Duties and tasks
Senior specialist in social support of stateless persons is responsible for:
Coordinating the work of social specialists involved in accompanying stateless persons and providing methodological support to the team.
Ensuring the implementation of standards for the provision of social services and quality control of case management.
Monitoring the effectiveness of providing social services and analyzing the results of work with beneficiaries.
Organization of interaction with state authorities (DMS, TsNAP, social protection bodies), medical institutions and other partners.
Organization and conducting of educational events (trainings, methodical seminars, exchange of experience) for social workers.
Analysis of the needs of stateless persons and preparation of analytical materials and reporting by direction.
Quality control of documentation and compliance with internal and donor requirements.
Participation in the development of partnerships with local communities and organizations to increase access to services.
Supporting integration measures for beneficiaries and promoting their social adaptation.
Execution of other tasks related to project implementation.
Comply with the Code of Conduct and Foundation Policies.
Professional requirements
Higher education in the field of social work, law, psychology, social sciences or related fields.
Experience of working in the social sphere, human rights protection or working with vulnerable population groups will be an advantage.
Understanding the system of providing social and administrative services in Ukraine.
Experience of interaction with state bodies, local self-government bodies, social services or medical institutions will be an advantage.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with vulnerable populations.
Ability to analyze individual situations of beneficiaries and contribute to the search for complex solutions.
Excellent command of the Ukrainian language, both orally and in writing.
High level of responsibility, organization and attention to detail.
Cultural sensitivity, empathy and respect for diversity.
Availability of driver's license and own car.
Readiness for business trips within the region.
Adherence to the principles of confidentiality, protection of personal data and ethical standards in working with beneficiaries.
