Our client’s product develops technology to facilitate the end-to-end customer payment experience, making it easy for businesses to accept, disburse, and manage monthly payments of $1B. A modern and reliable platform lowers the total cost of payments by increasing acceptance rates, driving self-service, and simplifying exceptions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and robust code
• Issues researching and troubleshooting across multiple services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Write well-tested code using RSpec, emphasizing security, performance, and resilience
• Make practical decisions with good judgment when faced with design constraints
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback through Git pull requests
• Support team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in commercial software development
• Deep expertise in Ruby and Rails (understanding the boundaries between them)
• Experience in working with REST API
• Knowledge of gRPC
• Working experience with identity management services such as Okta, understanding of Oauth providers.
• Have a tenacious desire to get to the bottom of things
• Experience working in a large codebase and communicating about code is a plus
• Commitment to writing well-tested code that considers security, performance, and resilience
• Respect and support for team members of all levels and backgrounds, with openness to both teaching and learning
• At least Intermediate English level (written and spoken)
