Senior Python Engineer, Business Aviation SaaS in Portside

We are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Staffing Marketplace. In this role, you will develop and maintain our advanced staffing platform, which connects aviation job seekers with employers for full-time, part-time, and temporary roles. Your responsibilities will include designing, coding, testing, and deploying new features, as well as optimizing existing functionalities to enhance user experience. Strong problem-solving skills, proficiency in relevant programming languages, and a collaborative attitude are essential for success in this position.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Python 3 and Django 3
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with database migrations and Django ORM
• Experience in designing applications architecture, good understanding of the MVC, SOLID, DRY, KISS, design patterns, and other development best practices;
• Strong and consistent understanding of GraphQL and REST API
• Understanding of asynchronous programming
• Understanding of WebSocket
• Experience with testing (pytest, coverage), writing testable code and maintainable tests
• Experience with linting tools (bandit, black, flake8, isort, mypy)
• Good understanding of CI/CD principles
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services (IAM, SSM, S3 RDS, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of Git
• Great troubleshooting skills
• Strong motivation and willingness to learn
• Practical and results-oriented engineering mindset
• Desire to build reliable and efficient solutions
• Interest in business aviation and in becoming a domain expert in the field
