Everything from verifying a patient’s benefits to following up on a medical insurance claim requires making a phone call. These calls often have long hold times of up to an hour and cause staff burnout. Our client creates AI agents to automate these calls so healthcare providers can spend less time on the phone and more time seeing patients.About the role:Our client is looking for a founding backend engineer to build out core web services from zero to one. You will be responsible for the full life cycle to design, implement, and deploy web services. Being a small team, you will collaborate closely with a product manager and frontend developer to bring a new product to life. As an early-stage startup, our fast-paced environment is something you find thrilling.Core expertise:4+ years of experience writing production code in Python.Proficient in designing and implementing REST APIs with Django Rest Framework.Experience working with managed AWS services such as RDS, ElastiCache, Lambda, KMS, and SQS.You have worked with Python codebases that are type hinted.Test-driven development is your de facto programming style.You have implemented CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.Well-versed in configuring infrastructure in AWS using Terraform and are familiar with ECS and Kubernetes.You are comfortable working in an agile environment with daily stand-ups and short recurring sprints.Excellent documentation skills and knowledge sharing.Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical team members.
