We are looking for an experienced Senior Odoo Developer (remote) to join an outsourcing agency and work on complex Odoo implementations for international clients. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining custom Odoo modules, integrating Odoo with third-party systems, and providing technical leadership across projects. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, project managers, and client stakeholders to deliver scalable and maintainable ERP solutions.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of Odoo development experience (versions 13+).
• Strong Python skills, Odoo ORM expertise, and PostgreSQL knowledge.
• Solid understanding of Odoo concepts: models, views, workflows, security, QWeb.
• Experience with Odoo frontend: JavaScript, OWL, XML.
• Proven experience with integrations via REST / XML-RPC / JSON-RPC.
• Strong Odoo Accounting experience (GL, AP/AR, invoicing/refunds, payment workflows, taxes/fiscal positions, multi-tax setups, bank sync & reconciliation, MIS Builder).
• Experience with multi-company and multi-currency accounting setups.
• Ability to safely customize accounting logic while preserving financial correctness.
• Experience with Odoo.sh, Docker, or Linux-based deployments.
• Strong understanding of ERP processes (sales, inventory, accounting, manufacturing).
• Ability to work independently on complex tasks and lead technical decisions.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Well-written and spoken English for client communication.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain custom Odoo modules (Community and Enterprise).
• Customize existing Odoo modules to meet client-specific requirements.
• Lead technical architecture decisions for Odoo implementations.
• Implement and extend Odoo Accounting features: invoicing, payments, taxes, reconciliation.
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party systems (accounting tools, payment providers, logistics, CRM, eCommerce).
• Ensure accounting data integrity, correct posting logic, and compliance when customizing financial workflows.
• Work with accountants and functional consultants to translate financial and regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
• Optimize Odoo performance, security, and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code (Python/JavaScript).
• Implement automated tests, participate in code reviews, and follow best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex functional and technical difficulties.
• Support upgrades, migrations, and deployments (on-premise, cloud, or Odoo.sh).
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
Nice to Have:
• Odoo certification(s).
• Experience with Odoo Enterprise accounting features (advanced reporting, budgets, consolidation).
• Large-scale or multi-company Odoo implementations.
• CI/CD pipelines and automated testing in Odoo.
• Performance tuning and database optimization.
• Experience in outsourcing/consulting.
