This platform, built on a big data architecture, is highly scalable and cloud-ready. It facilitates industry-leading analytics, client reporting, regulatory compliance, surveillance, supervisory reporting, and data science solutions. The platform's technical stack includes Apache Spark, Hive, Java, Scala, Spring, SQL, Kafka, and Hadoop.Role Overview:We are seeking a strong Senior Java Developer with experience in Big Data technologies to design and establish frameworks that expose and distribute risk data to a wide variety of consumers, including Finance, Front Office Risk Systems, Trading Systems, Back Office, and Account Systems. This role requires the ability to deliver low-latency access and support streaming, push/pull mechanisms depending on consumer needs.Responsibilities:Design and Framework Development: Develop frameworks for ingesting and modeling complex risk data.Low Latency Caching: Implement low-latency caching solutions to service front office risk systems.Collaboration: Work closely with strong development teams within an international bank to enhance big data capabilities and knowledge.Mandatory Skills:Java Programming: Strong knowledge and at least 4 years of experience in backend software development using Java.Big Data Technologies: Over 1 year of hands-on experience in Big Data development, particularly with Apache Spark and Hadoop (Hive).Distributed Systems: Solid understanding of distributed systems principles.Algorithms and Design Patterns: Familiarity with algorithms and design patterns.CI/CD Workflow: Understanding of CI/CD workflows and their implementation.Linux Environment: Experience with Linux, including scripting skills.Nice-to-Have Skills:In-Memory Databases and Caching: Experience with in-memory databases and caching techniques.Job Orchestration Tools: Familiarity with tools like Autosys or Airflow for job orchestration.Financial Background: Experience in the financial sector is an advantage.Language Proficiency:English: B2 Upper Intermediate proficiency required.
