The Role: We are looking for an experienced and motivated Engineering Manager to lead and manage our Ukraine-based engineering team at Hilltop Technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps and a deep understanding of both back-end and front-end development. This role requires technical expertise in Python, Django, Docker, AWS, Terraform, and Containers for rapid deployment. You will work closely with our CTO and Technical Program Manager to ensure the successful execution of projects that enhance our cybersecurity platforms. Objectives of this Role: - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers working on both back-end and front-end development projects. - Collaborate with the Technical Program Manager and CTO to plan, prioritize, and execute engineering projects. - Utilize your deep knowledge of Python, Django, Docker, AWS, Terraform, and Containers to guide technical decisions and lead by example. - Oversee the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing. - Ensure the smooth and efficient deployment of applications and solutions. - Maintain high standards of code quality, security, and performance across all engineering projects. - Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our development processes and practices. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: - Design and implement new features and enhancements for our cybersecurity software platform.- Manage the integration of front-end components with back-end systems, ensuring seamless functionality.- Optimize the performance, security, and scalability of our applications .- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and upcoming tasks. - Provide technical guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. - Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards andensure adherence to best practices. - Troubleshoot and debug issues across various environments, ensuring timely resolution.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers and product managers, to deliver user-centric solutions.- Contribute to the design and architecture of new features, ensuring they align with our technical and business goals. Skills and Qualifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. - 7-10 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on DevOps and team management.- Proven experience managing and leading engineering teams in both back-end and front-end development. - Deep expertise in Python, particularly with Django. - Strong experience with Docker, AWS, and Terraform for infrastructure management and deployment. - Proficiency in managing Containers for rapid deployment and scaling. - Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including a Technical Program Manager and CTO. - Strong English language abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to clearly articulate technical concepts and collaborate with international teams. - Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges and driving continuous improvement.
