About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer for our client — an ambitious Ukrainian MilTech company developing advanced electronic systems for defense technologies.

For over four years, the company has been building complex air defense systems. Today 8+ products are certified, mass-produced, and actively used to protect the airspace of Ukraine and several EU countries.

This role is ideal for a senior engineer who wants to work on complex defense hardware systems and take ownership of the full hardware development cycle — from concept and design to prototype validation and production readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuits using Altium Designer

  • Develop embedded hardware around STM32 and other ARM-based microcontrollers

  • Design power supply circuits, including DC-DC converters and LDO regulators

  • Independently assemble and hand-solder prototype boards (SMD and through-hole)

  • Perform hardware bring-up, testing, and debugging

  • Work closely with firmware engineers on MCU integration and peripheral configuration

  • Prepare production-ready documentation and assist with certification processes (e.g., CE, FCC)

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in embedded electronics hardware design

  • Hands-on experience with STM32 or similar ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers

  • Strong proficiency in Altium Designer (schematics, PCB layout, design rules)

  • Solid understanding of digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuit design

  • Ability to independently design, build, and test hardware prototypes

  • Experience using lab equipment: oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer, bench power supply

Nice to Have

  • Experience with FPGA-based systems (Xilinx, Lattice, Intel/Altera)

  • Knowledge of communication interfaces: SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB

  • Understanding of low-power design techniques for battery-powered devices

  • Basic knowledge of C/C++ for firmware-level bring-up and testing

  • Experience with certification processes (EMC/ESD, CE, FCC)

  • Experience working with wireless modules (LoRa, BLE, Wi-Fi)

We Offer

  • Official employment, with military reservation available subject to proper military registration documents

  • Office-based work in Kyiv (Right Bank)

  • Business trips up to 20% of working time (field commissioning, on-site supervision, testing in operational environments)

  • Working schedule: Monday-Friday, 09:00—18:00 with flexible start time

  • Salary discussed individually depending on experience and skills

  • Opportunity to work on advanced defense technology products

  • Work with complex engineering systems and modern technical solutions

  • Strong engineering team and opportunities for professional growth
