Client Overview: We are collaborating with a leading entity in the news and media sector, recognized for their impactful reporting and extensive reach. Due to confidentiality agreements, we are unable to disclose their name, but they are a highly respected organization with a global audience.Project ScopeMAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The initiative focuses on the enhancement and maintenance of an existing cloud infrastructure, with a particular emphasis on optimizing performance during periods of exceptionally high traffic. The goal is to ensure seamless operation and support during these critical times, leveraging AWS services to their fullest potential.Education, Skills And Experience MUST HAVE:A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, specifically with AWS environments.Proficiency in managing and deploying AWS services, including but not limited to EKS, (EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, IAM, and VPC.)Familiarity with Networking, SDN and caching.Competence in Go.Strong expertise in implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.Extensive experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) methodologies, utilizing tools such as Jenkins or Drone.A solid grasp of networking and security protocols within the AWS ecosystem.Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.Knowledge of AWS monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch and CloudTrail, including third-party solutions.Would Be a PlusAWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.Familiarity with serverless frameworks and services, particularly AWS Lambda.Experience on high load infrastructures with randomly scaled load.Understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database management systems, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.Insight into microservices architecture and deployment strategies.Prior experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
