About the customer:
This is one of the world's largest family history resources and DNA digitizers. With the help of this service and DNA analysis, for example, it is possible to determine ethnic origin, body structure features, etc. (now there are more than half a hundred definitions). You can also build your family tree based on more than 30 billion digitized archival records (in the USA) from the 18th century. (and this number is constantly growing), as well as learn interesting facts about your ancestors. In general, our customer is considered the largest in its space. :)
About the project and team:< /span>
You will join the Data Science team working on projects related to with DNA research. One of our projects is predicting human traits using SNPs.
As part of the team , you will work with infrastructure and research activities such as EMR setup, data lake management, cloud computing, workflow automation, data mining, and analytics.
General technology stack: Python 3.8-3.11 / Django / MySQL / Nextflow / Airflow / PySpark / Docker / Terraforms / AWS (IAM,SQS, S3 ,Secret Manager, Lambdas,FSx for Luster
Duties :Work with various services AWS, creating and configuring new services using Terraform, configuring communication between services and the application
Working with REST API microservices and managing them, sharing and aggregating data from differentcross-services
Working with the enterprise-tools manager for data-pipelines
Evaluating big data, resolving and resolving discrepancies through data analysis, and finding opportunities for ongoing data enhancement
Determining the possibility of automation in current analytical processes
< span style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">Work closely with the team of architects to implement the solution.
Requirements:
4+ years of commercial experience as DevOps
In-depth knowledge and commercial experience of working with the Amazon Web Services ecosystem (IAM, EC2, SQS, SNS, S3, Lambda, Secret Manager)
Deep knowledge and commercial experience with Python and Django
Strong knowledge and experience with Terraform
Commercial experience with Docker and Kubernetes
CI/CD development and maintenance experience
Commercial experience with relational databases (preferably MySQL)
Experience in data mining, large-scale data collection, auditing, transformation and cleansing of both structured and unstructured data
English language: at least above intermediate level (spoken and written)
Work experience or knowledge will be an advantage:

Nextflow
FSx for Luster

Team of UKEESS Software House is currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (with Python)to join our team for a full-time position (remotely in Ukraine or in Lviv's office).

With more than 30 billion digitized global historical records, 130 million family trees, and 18+ million people in its growing database, our customers help people discover their family stories and gain actionable insights about their health and wellness.
About the Project and Team: span>
You will join the Data Science Engineering team and work on DNA research projects. One of our projects is a prediction of people's traits using SNPs.
As a part of the team, you span>will work on
General tech stack: Python 3.8-3.11 / Django / MySQL / Nextflow / Airflow / PySpark / Docker / Terraform / AWS (IAM,EC2, SQS, SNS, S3, Secret Manager, Lambdas, FSx for Lustre) / Kubernetes
Responsibilities include:
Work with various AWS services, create new services using Terraform, configure communication between the services and application
Work on and guide microservice REST API design, communicating and aggregating data from different microservices
Working with enterprise tools engineer to deploy the data pipelines
Evaluate large datasets, address and resolve reconcilable discrepancies through data analysis, and find opportunities for continuous data improvement
Identify automation opportunities within current analytics processes and work closely with the architecture team to implement the solution.
Required skills:
4+ years of professional experience in a DevOps role
Good knowledge and commercial experience with the Amazon Web Services ecosystem (IAM, EC2, SQS, SNS, S3, Lambda, Secret Manager)
Strong knowledge and commercial experience with Python and Django
Strong knowledge and experience with Terraform
Commercial experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience development & maintenance of CI/CD pipelines
Commercial experience with relational databases (MySQL is preferable)
Experience in data mining, large-scale data acquisition, auditing, transformation, and cleaning, both structured and unstructured data
English: Upper-intermediate level at least (both spoken and written)
Strong knowledge or commercial experience with the following technologies will be a plus:
Spark and Airflow
Nextflow
FSx for Lustre
