Senior DBA in UTB Recruitment Agency

We are looking for a Senior DBA to work with MS SQL infrastructure, volume 3+TB and critical business systems in a national scale company.

Responsibilities:

Ensuring high availability and fault tolerance, Always On Availability Groups (Sync/Async, Failover, Read-only routing)

Configuration and optimization (Memory, MAXDOP, Cost Threshold, TempDB, etc.)

Analysis and optimization of performance (Execution Plans, Query Store, Indexes, Blocking, Deadlocks, Parameter Sniffing, etc.)

Control and optimization of IO latency (Data / Log / TempDB)

Support and backup & recovery control (Full/Diff/Log, PITR)

Security (TDE, access, audit, etc.)

DB status monitoring and incident response

Performance of Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

Administration of SQL Server in a high-load environment

Interaction with developers and the infrastructure team

SQL code review and recommendations optimization

Requirements:

Practical experience in high-load OLTP database administration

Version control systems: basic work skills with Git.

Deep understanding of SQL Server internals (Buffer Pool, Plan Cache, Transaction Log, Locking, Isolation Levels)

Experience with Always-On AG

Confident reading and writing SQL queries

Analysis experience (Execution Plans, Wait Statistics, Query Store, etc.)

Understanding and configuration (MAXDOP, Cost Threshold, TempDB, etc.)

Understanding of IO and log write mechanics

Experience of backup / restore / recovery">Basic understanding of VMware ESXi, vNUMA, Hyper-Threading

Automation skills (SQL Agent, PowerShell - desirable)

Ability to work with incidents and responsibility for the result
