This Java-based platform utilizes REST protocol for seamless communication between providers and ALIRA, enabling bidirectional data exchange.The platform also features a content management system (CMS) for the integration of provider games into operator websites, adapting them to match each operator’s visual style.What you will doThe RoleThe Database Engineer (MySQL) role carries the pivotal responsibility of overseeing and preserving the integrity and performance of the company’s intricate database systems. This multifaceted role encompasses a spectrum of critical tasks, including the establishment and maintenance of high availability infrastructure, meticulous database replication management, robust backup and recovery procedures, precise performance optimization, astute capacity planning, vigilant monitoring, and comprehensive documentation.As a Database Engineer within our organization, you will play an integral role in ensuring the reliability, resilience, and efficiency of our database infrastructure. Your contributions will be central to the seamless functioning of our application data ecosystems, enhancingour ability to deliver high-quality services to our clients and stakeholders.This role stands as a linchpin in our technology landscape, requiring a blend of technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and diligent documentation practices to maintain the health and vitality of our database systems.ResponsibilitiesConstruct and uphold database systems characterized by superior availability and quality, tailored to the specific requirements of individual applications.Devise and execute database designs in alignment with the information needs and different perspectivesDefine user profiles and facilitate the dissemination of data to the appropriate recipients in a suitable format and with promptness.Configure diverse database replication strategies to ensure seamless data synchronization.Utilize high-speed transaction recovery methods and proficiently manage data backups.Efficiently mitigate database downtime while optimizing parameters for swift query response times.Facilitate the transfer of knowledge within the team to foster collective expertise.Provide proactive and reactive support for data management, ensuring data security, privacy, and integrity.Establish, enforce, and meticulously document database policies, procedures, and standards.Regularly conduct tests and evaluations to safeguard data security and maintain data integrity.Vigilantly monitor database performance, implement necessary modifications, and apply updates and patches as required.Stay well-informed about emerging database technologies.Generate on-demand reports as requested by business users.Offer 24×7 support for critical production systems, participating in an on-call rotation schedule when necessaryMetrics & KPIs● Financial○ Own and deliver projects against defined budgets○ Plan and develop cost-efficient solutions○ Cost and resource optimisation● Technical○ Constant improvement of product quality○ Improvement in deployments and time to market○ Mean time to recovery○ Improvement in the deployment success rate● Non-Technical○ Incident response time○ Increase in feedback loopsWhat you need for thisA minimum of three years of experience in the field, with a preference for experience in organizations operating within industries such as i-gaming or e-commerce.Proficiency in MySQL open-source database technologies is essential. Familiarity with other relational database management systems (RDBMSs) like Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL is considered advantageous.Hands-on experience working with database standards and managing latency-sensitive user applications.Excellent expertise in data backup, recovery, security, data integrity, and SQL.Competence in database design, documentation, and coding practices.Prior exposure to Database Administrator case tools, both frontend and backend, as well as familiarity with third-party database tools.Strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues effectively.Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well in a team and adapt to different approaches.Strong organizational and independent work planning skills.Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.What it’s like to work at IntelliasAt Intellias, where technology takes center stage, people always come before processes.
