Senior Data Engineer

Avenga is looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. Our customers build a data platform and organizational structures that will benefit businesses and organizations.

As a Data Engineer, you will be supporting a new program of digital change which includes the introduction of new SaaS applications and a new enterprise Integration Platform (middleware) into the company’s IT landscape.

What you bring along:

• 5+ years of experience in the Data field;
• Expertise in Microsoft Fabric’s unified analytics platform;
• Familiarity with One Lake, Fabric Spark, Azure Purview;
• Proficiency in Azure Integration Services products, including Azure Databricks and Data Factory;
• Experience with handling and transforming large quantities of data using T-SQL, SQL, PySpark, or Python;
• Knowledge of Databricks;
• Experience in working closely with clients to understand business challenges and needs;
• Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail;
• English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher.

This is your mission:

• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to organize, represent, and store data effectively;
• Implement data governance practice utilizing Azure Purview to have Data Lineage, Data Catalog, etc.;
• Build Lakehouse on Microsoft Fabric or Databricks;
• Analyze business needs, design and implement data-driven solutions;
• Design and implement data models, adhering to development guidelines and best practices;
• Collaborate with data engineers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their requirements, provide data solutions, and effectively communicate insights or findings derived from Data.
