What you will doLead the design and implementation of AWS and VMware Cloud Foundation-based cloud infrastructures, ensuring they align with business goals and security requirementsOversee the management, monitoring, and optimization of cloud resources across multiple environments (production, staging, and development)Develop and drive cloud adoption strategies for the organization, ensuring a smooth and cost-effective migration from on-premises to the cloudProvide expert-level consultation and architecture guidance on cloud infrastructure, systems, and applications, ensuring the best practices are followedDesign and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or VMware Aria AutomationDrive the automation of deployment pipelines and cloud operationsImplement cost optimization strategies by optimizing cloud resources, recommending efficient architectures, and ensuring resource utilizationImplement robust security controls, policies, and best practices for cloud environmentsEnsure cloud solutions are compliant with industry standards and regulationsCollaborate with engineering, operations, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver cloud-based solutions that meet organizational needs Mentor developers and DevOps's and provide guidancence to other teams on cloud technologies, best practices, and toolsQualifications and experience neededMinimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years working in cloud architecture and administration (AWS, VMware)Experience managing applications in hybrid cloud environments (AWS and VMware)Proficient with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation or VMware Aria AutomationExtensive experience with VMware Cloud Foundation, including vSphere, vCenter, NSX, vSAN, and VMware Cloud on AWSGood understanding of Data Security on Cloud-based applicationsStrong understanding of networking concepts (VPC, VPN, Direct Connect, load balancing) and cloud security best practices (IAM, security groups, encryption, etc.)Experience in building CI/CD pipelines for large scale application on AWS and on-premisesBackground in redefining the applications into cloud native environmentsKnowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and KubernetesEffective verbal and written communicationStrong presentation skills with both technical and non-technical audiencesConversational English level (B2+)Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, as well as work collaboratively with teams, some of which may be geographically distributedWhat we offerOffice or remote – it’s up to you.
