Vilmate is looking for a highly qualified Senior BigCommerce developer who will join our team and work on a project for a leader in the greeting card industry.

Vilmate ( careers.vilmate.com ) is a Ukrainian highly professional team of over 120 developers, QA and DevOps engineers, designers and managers. We have been supplying custom software to North American and Western European clients since 2012 and have a strong track record in both web and mobile development.

About the client:

Our client is an American multinational manufacturing company known for its innovative products and unique corporate culture. Founded in 1958 and headquartered in Newark, Delaware, this company has built a reputation as a leading manufacturer in a variety of industries. Their most famous product, a special fabric, has revolutionized the outdoor clothing and gear market with its waterproof and breathable properties.

In addition, they manufacture a wide range of high-performance products, including medical products such as synthetic vascular grafts and hernia patches, specialized cables and materials for electronic applications, as well as industrial products such as filtration solutions and sealers

As they continue to expand and innovate, they are looking for a talented BigCommerce Developer/Consultant to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects in an atmosphere of collaboration and forward thinking.

About the role:

The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of enterprise e-commerce business models and experience conducting audits of current e-commerce systems. He should be able to provide thorough advice on various tools and platforms, design future architecture, and have solid experience with BigCommerce and Shopify. Experience with additional tools and technologies used in our project is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a comprehensive audit of existing e-commerce systems.
• Provide expert advice on tools and platforms, as well as alternatives.
• Develop an architecture for future e-commerce developments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement e-commerce solutions.

Required skills:

• Strong expertise in BigCommerce.
• Deep understanding and experience of corporate e-commerce business models.
• Ability to audit e-commerce systems.
• Ability to design scalable e-commerce architectures.
• Experience with Shopify is a significant plus.
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
• Proficiency in English at a level no lower than Upper-Intermediate.
