INTRODUCTION

Full-time  Ireland-based  opportunity for  Senior Automation Engineers / Automation Engineers  with strong  PLC and SCADA  experience. The role is predominantly  office-based , with travel to site required during commissioning phases. Projects are delivered across the  water, wastewater, and industrial sectors , working with established employers on long-term programs. This position is suitable for candidates  relocating to Ireland .

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver automation projects end-to-end, from control philosophy development through to site handover

• PLC and HMI programming

• SCADA system development

• Preparation of technical project documentation

• Development of FDS, SDS, FAT, and SAT documentation

• Support on-site commissioning, start-up, and acceptance testing

• Provide technical support to new and existing customers

• Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as an  Automation Engineer / Senior Automation Engineer

• Strong PLC programming experience, including:

  • Rockwell ControlLogix & CompactLogix

  • Siemens S7-300 / S7-400 / S7-1500

• SCADA experience with one or more of the following:

  • Aveva InTouch & Aveva System Platform

  • Ignition SCADA

  • Rockwell FactoryTalk

  • Siemens WinCC

• Industrial networking experience (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus)

• Experience with Variable Speed Drives (Siemens, Rockwell, ABB)

• Good documentation practices in line with  GAMP 5

• Third-level qualification in Automation, Electrical, Electronic, Software Engineering, or equivalent

• Conversational English (basic to intermediate level)

• Ability to work under pressure with initiative and a structured approach

• Willingness to travel occasionally within Ireland

• Ireland:  Co. Kildare, Cork, Dublin, Munster

• Hybrid working available, depending on project requirements
