Senior analyst of the state policy project in Veteran Hab

Veteran Hub, the rights protection center for servicemen "Princip", Legal Hundred and Opportunities Space continue the joint development of the State Policy Concept for veterans and their families, in support of efforts of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs and the state as a whole in creating the first State Strategy for veterans and their families. We invite to the team a person who can lead and manage the communications of this project.

The developed policy will help direct and strengthen support for the welfare of veterans and their members families, respect for the contribution of soldiers and veterans, women veterans to the preservation of Ukrainian statehood and memory of the rank of the fallen.

To implement this project, we are looking for a person who will coordinate the work of experts, develop methodologies and ensure the preparation of analytical materials. This is an important position that involves close cooperation with partners and project experts.

What you need to do:

• Participate in organizing and holding discussions within the project, be responsible for processing their results and preparing reference texts for editing by the editorial team and teams of organizations-co-authors.
• Develop methodologies for the analysis of legislation and analytical materials, in accordance with the tasks of the project and monitor compliance with the methodology in the process of its implementation.  
• Conduct reference analysis of materials in accordance with project tasks. 
• Conduct expert interviews, process and analyze results
• Check and agree sources, expert comments and author materials, agree mentions of authors and commentators. 
• Participate in the development of technical tasks for contractors and agree on the proposed approaches during selection.
• Accompany the contractors in the implementation of the project, control the development and approval of materials, in accordance with the organization's policies and the requirements of the donor. 
• Interact with the experts of the key 4 organizations of the project, develop expertise. 
• Develop the necessary project documentation, in particular analytical materials.
• Responsible for the quality and deadlines of document preparation, in accordance with the grant agreement.
• Participate in the preparation of project reporting, in accordance with the policies of the organization and the requirements of the donor.

Qualification requirements:

• Compulsory fluency in Ukrainian and English. 
• Work experience in the field of veteran affairs or high awareness of the state of affairs in the field, excellent knowledge of the analytical work of the organization and partners.
• Knowledge of Ukrainian legislation, in accordance with competencies, the ability to logically analyze state documentation.
• Understanding the format of operational work of charitable non-profit organizations.
• Experience in managing analytical and authorteams and interaction with editorial teams.
• Experience of interaction with government bodies on policy development. 
• Experience in writing and publishing analytical articles as the main author or a member of the author group.
• Logical thinking and understanding of the basics of analytics, ability to quickly process data and information. 
• The ability to logically express one's thoughts in writing, work with text.

Working conditions:

• Official cooperation under a fixed-term employment contract/contract for 11 months
• Full employment in Kyiv. Business trips to Ukraine are possible.
• Work format is mainly offline.
