Senior/A research manager will play a key role in the management and management of research projects within the program. Successful/A candidate/ka will be responsible for the development, implementation and quality control of research that form policies, software strategies and provide information support to FPS Technical Teams. It (it) will cooperate with interfunctional training, adaptation and programming teams (MEL, Gedsi, conflict sensitivity, strategic communications), interact with stakeholders and will help form practically applicable recommendations based on research results. Senior/A research manager will work in a dynamic and demanding environment that requires flexibility and adaptability.
Basic responsibilities
- Manage the development and conduct of research in accordance with certain software goals.
- Develop a concept/research program, methodology and data collection tools.
- To work closely with the monitoring, evaluation and training team (MES) to reconcile research purposes with monitoring and evaluation systems.
- To control the analysis and interpretation of data, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with development policies.
- Prepare high quality research reports, analytical documents and publications adapted to different audiences.
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with local stakeholders and research partners in order to promote cooperation, exchange and disseminate research products.
- Interact with local authorities, government agencies, donors and partner organizations to transform research results into practical conclusions.
- Manage research groups and interdisciplinary research teams, providing mentoring and facilitating their potential.

Qualification and experience
- Master's degree or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the field of social sciences, data analysis, project management or project management or project management or project analysis In another relevant field

- Manage research groups and cross-cutting research teams, providing mentorship and capacity-building support.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and best practices in research.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree or PhD in Social Sciences, Data Science, or Management or another relevant field
- Proven experience (7+ years) in research management, experience of working in the stabilisation or humanitarian sector is an advantage.
- Strong expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, good understanding of social media listening methods. Demonstrated ability to adapt methodologies to challenging operational contexts and evolving programmatic needs.
- Proven track record of producing high-impact research products and policy papers will be highly valued.
- Experience in managing research teams and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working with donor-funded programmes or international organisations in the conflict-affected regions is an advantage.
- Demonstrated context awareness and sensitivity are also highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, coordination, presentation and writing skills.
- Fluency in English (oral and written)
