SECURITY SUPPORT OFFICER

Employee's main activity:

The main purpose of this position is to ensure the safety and security of the facility and the team at the designated location. This includes supporting the Project Coordinator and Safety Advisor in the management of safety, monitoring day-to-day events that affect the safety of the team, and ensuring that site-specific safety procedures are implemented. In addition, the position includes the monitoring and management of ambulance bases and the movement of ambulances as needed.

Main duties:

  • Ensure that all staff and visitors stay in designated safe areas on the premises in case of air alarms/imminent threats, inform team and follow up on all security events and alarms.
  • Adequately instruct all staff and visitors on security standard operating procedures (SOPs) and measures to be taken in the event of alarms at locations where MSF has premises or operates.
  • In coordination with the Project Coordinator and Security Advisor, prepare and conduct regular security briefings and debriefings for project staff and visitors in accordance with project security plan and SOP.
  • Ensure that all personnel and visitors are accounted for in the event of immediate threats and coordinate the gathering of personnel in the designated secure area.
  • Perform additional security-related tasks in the designated area as requested by the Project Coordinator and/or Security Advisor.
  • Report to the team and Security Advisor regardingsecurity indicators in the secured area.
  • Facilitate and support the Project Coordinator and the Security Advisor in conducting security awareness sessions for staff to improve the understanding of security policies and plans in the secured area.
  • Monitor the security situation and pre-determined routes for vehicles and ambulances to enter and leave the secured area as requested by the Security Advisor security.
  • Ensure and monitor the security of ambulance bases, and monitor the movement of ambulances or other vehicles as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Desirable: higher education diploma. All relevant professional experience will be taken into account during selection.

Experience:

Required:

  • Experience of working and staying in a complex political, security and humanitarian environment.
  • Experience of data collection, reporting and analysis, basic knowledge of management knowledge.
  • Experience in building and establishing professional relationships.

Desirable:

  • Previous work experience in similar positions in the field of humanitarian aid in MSF or other non-governmental organizations.

  • Basic knowledge of English will be an advantage, but not a requirement mandatory.

  • Management experience.

Working conditions:

  • Work location: according to security and operational needs. At the moment, the activity is carried out in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast (Dnipro, Pavlograd, Shartaske and Synelnikovo), Kharkiv Oblast (Barvinkovo), Donetsk Oblast (Slovyansk) and Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
  • Working schedule: usually 7 working days / 7 days off, but may change according to operational needs.

Languages:fluency in the Ukrainian language; knowledge of the English language is desirable. style="font-weight: 400">Term contract, with the possibility of extension;
