Security Officer

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and update specific security instructions and SOPs in conjunction with the Global Security Department as appropriate.
- Interact with local security organizations, local security agencies, police and other emergency services within the borders of Ukraine.
- Assist in the registration of new employees, registration of Caritas Czech Republic offices, guest and warehouse programs. Providing assistance in obtaining permission for restricted access zones (for personnel and vehicles) for all populated areas of Ukraine if possible.
- Interact and consult with Security Coordinators (SFP) as necessary
- Monitor security measures within the programs.
- Ensure that all Caritas Czech Republic field staff are familiar with the most common security threats and advise on mitigation measures to reduce staff vulnerability to these threats.
- Ensure proper use of the internal incident tracking system. Perform limited incident imaging and analysis as needed.
- Work in conjunction with Caritas Czech Republic Logistics and Transport Managers to ensure Caritas Czech Republic drivers are aware of all aspects of Caritas Czech Republic driver policy.
Minimum requirements
- 3 years of work experience at the level of Security Specialist/Manager (Security Service, Police or Civil Defense).
- Excellent understanding of the security situation in Ukraine , with specific knowledge and understanding of the current conflict.
- Availability of a category B driver's license.
- Experience in safely and effectively performing security duties in difficult environments.
- Practical experience and knowledge of Risk, Threat and Vulnerability assessment, conflict mitigation and first aid.
- Excellent negotiation skills, strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to speak in public, respond appropriately to the questions of senior managers and employees at a similar position level.
- High level of communication in English. Able toability to read and write in English.
- Skills to create reports and emails and send to CD and DGS.
