Proliska NGO announces a competition to fill the vacant position of "Security Specialist" in the city of Dnipro

Proliska public organization is a non-commercial, non-political humanitarian organization, which since 2014 has been providing comprehensive assistance and protection to the population affected by military operations in Ukraine.

Currently, our organization works in 13 regions of Ukraine and provides: social support for the most vulnerable persons affected by military operations; provision of psychological assistance to victims; consulting on social issues; provision of humanitarian aid and materials for emergency repairs of housing damaged as a result of hostilities; providing assistance to institutions and establishments where IDPs have found refuge; assistance in the evacuation of the population from the combat zone and social transportation of residents of settlements along the combat line and in de-occupied territories where regular transport does not operate.

I. Requirements for the competitor:

  • Higher education in the field of security, civil protection, risk management, law, international relations, public administration or related areas.
  • Practical experience in the field of security management, including conducting risk assessments, preparing security plans, analytical reports and incident reports (experience in humanitarian organizations will be a significant advantage).
  • Understanding the principles of Duty of Care, working in high-risk and conflict environments.
  • A confident user of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with databases, mapping tools, or safety monitoring systems would be an advantage.
  • Experience or willingness to conduct training and staff training (first aid, fire safety, use of personal protective equipment, basic safety procedures).
  • High communication and coordination skills, ability to clearly communicate recommendations and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Readiness to business trips within the borders of Ukraine, including front-line areas, to conduct assessments and monitor the security situation.
  • Fluent command of the Ukrainian language; working knowledge of English will be a significant advantage.
  • Responsibility in making decisions.
  • Ability to work with teams: motivate staff, delegate tasks effectively, monitor performance and analyze results with the aim of increasing overall work efficiency.

II. Key Functions and Responsibilities:

Security Analytics

  • Continuous monitoring of the security situation in established regions.
  • Analysis of risks to personnel, beneficiaries and activities organizations.
  • Preparation of recommendations regarding the expediency / impracticality of activities.

Internal control of compliance with safety rules

  • Control of staff compliance with safety protocols (in particular, the use of bulletproof vests, helmets and other PPE).
  • Identifying violations and providing mandatory recommendations.

Consulting function

  • Providing consultations to heads of offices and focal points (incl. field personnel) when making decisions about departures.

Counseling on:

  • safe departure time after attacks / arrivals;
  • acceptable interval between the incident and the start of the issue assistance;
  • residual risk level

Coordination with law enforcement agencies

  • Maintenance of permanent working relationship with:
  • National Police;
  • military agencies;
  • other responsible law enforcement agencies authorities.
  • Receiving and transmitting relevant security information.

Ensuring access and permissions

  • Coordinating and ensuring the necessary permissions through the current control systems. Support of the access processes: humanitarian teams; transport of the organization to the places of delivery after shelling.

Conducting safety trainings

  • Domestic care
  • Fire safety
  • Using PPE

  • Employment contract until December 31, 2026 with the possibility of extension depending on further funding and personal results;
