GENERAL OBJECTIVES POSITIONS

The Security Specialist will be responsible for the development and implementation of security policies and procedures, monitoring the security situation in Ukraine and informing the Fund's staff about security issues.

The security specialist will conduct induction briefings for new employees on security and safety issues using existing procedures and briefings, participate in the development of new ones, and also report on all training and exercises that take place within the Foundation and trainings conducted by our partners.

This position involves work in the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions, monitoring and partial support of mobile groups in these regions. The security specialist should be located locally in the city of Kharkiv or in the city of Slovyansk. Control over the movement of mobile teams in two regions. Cooperation with SIMIK, INSO and other NGOs to exchange information and obtaining travel permits. Assisting the regional coordinator in the planning and organization of the trips p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Active participation in the development, improvement and implementation of security policies and procedures, providing proposals and recommendations for their improvement in accordance with the context of threats at the local and regional level;
  • Participation in the organization and conduct of security exercises (trainings) for the staff of the Foundation; conducting relevant briefings;
  • Interaction with partner organizations in the exchange of experience, evaluations and information in the field of implementation of measuressecurity;
  • Coordination with employees of regional offices of the Fund regarding the assessment of weekly work plans in safety of selected routes and places of service for beneficiaries;
  • Operative interaction with local staff and by relevant authorities in case of unforeseen situations;
  • Working with documents and maps;

  • Any other responsibility deemed necessary or delegated by the manager to ensure the level service required by the Foundation and/or donor;
  • Performance of other duties by order of the manager;
  • Understanding and following the Code of Conduct and other policies of the Foundation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3 years of experience in the field of protection and security;
  • Ownership in Ukrainian and Russian;
  • Fluent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), experience with graphics, graphic editors.
  • Experience in developing and conducting training in the field of protection and security (the presence of relevant licenses and certificates is welcome);
  • Proven ability to generate timely situation reports and event analysis;
  • Experience of interaction with representatives of state authorities, military and law enforcement agencies;
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of the political, social and security situation in Ukraine;
  • Experience of working with local and international non-governmental (humanitarian) organizations in terms of security management.
