Our Global Security team is committed to protecting ADM colleagues and assets as well as maintaining our company’s legal and regulatory responsibilities.
The Security Coordinator Ukraine is responsible for implementing and leading all aspects of ADM Global Security’s risk mitigation programs in Ukraine. This role will report to the EMEA Security Manager. The position is responsible for strategic programs and technical security projects with significant complexity and high-risk profiles. Essential to the role is a strong partnership with senior business management as well as ongoing interaction with internal and external stakeholders such as facility managers, local and federal law enforcement and external security experts.  This position is responsible for gathering & analyzing security-related intelligence from a variety of sources and provide the salient information to management to mitigate security risks and threats to ADM’s brand, operations and colleagues.
 
Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and manages Ukraine’s complex security programs, physical security, crisis management, life safety, and guard force management to protect our colleagues, reputation and assets.
  • Liaises with internal partners to ensure service delivery in all aspects of the department’s goals.
  • Closely manages sensitive and confidential investigations in concert with key internal investigative partners.
  • Conducts security investigations and implements risk/loss mitigation measures.
  • Develops, advances and executes risk assessments and due diligence methodologies.
  • Reviews, develops and applies ADM Global Security standards at facilities.
  • Conducts periodic, risk-based, local security assessments of company facilities, approved hotels and frequently used airports.
  • Assists in executing the complete business continuity lifecycle.
  • Forges partnerships with key local, national and international law enforcement agencies working in Ukraine.
  • Develops and presents strategic security plans for the services and programs in the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Develops and implements tabletop exercises for the region crisis leadership team.
  • Engages project management in security initiatives involving decommissioning, acquisitions, renovations and new construction.
  • Delivers journey-specific threat assessments & mitigation strategies for all business travel into and throughout Ukraine.
  • Proactively collaborates with other business units & stakeholders (Operations, Human Resources, Global Business Services, Legal etc.) to resolve security threats or incidents.
  • Identifies gaps within global security programs and works with leadership to mitigate risks.
  • Creates reporting metrics & data to support global security’s strategy.


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.
  • Exceptional written and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in Project Management methodologies.
  • Native Ukrainian language.
  • Fluent English language.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid passport.
  • Possess an extensive network of public and private sector professional contacts.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule particularly during a crisis, to include weekends and holidays.
  • Strong professional ethics and ability to maintain confidentiality and trust.
  • Experience with integrated physical security systems or life safety systems.

 

Desired Skills:

  • Master’s degree.
  • Certified Protection Professional and/or relevant industry certifications.
  • 10+ years of security management experience or 10 years of security risk consulting experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in a highly regulated environment.
  • Experience in briefing senior management on sensitive threat related matters.

Education Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in field of study such as political science, international relations, security management, criminal justice history, national security studies or related field. Experience and formal training, combined with demonstrated performance & ability may substitute for academic requirements.
 
Required Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in corporate security, law enforcement or military operations.  Or, at least 5 years of security management or security risk consulting experience.
  • Experience managing teams, building and executing security operational programs.
