The ICRC is mandated to work in countries affected by armed conflict or other situations of violence. The ICRC is present in over 100 countries and has 18,000 staff worldwide. In 2014, the ICRC expanded its presence in Ukraine. We have over 900 team members working across the county in various professional fields.
About the job
The ICRC Security and Crisis Management Support (SCMS) Unit seeks a highly capable Security and Safety Officer to join our team in Kyiv. The Security & Safety Officer supports the unit and provides technical support to the different ICRC offices in Ukraine. As a unit member, the Safety and Security Officer ensures a safe and secure working environment for its ICRC employees and advises on security and safety risks. S/he advises on conflict and security dynamics in the country and political developments in the overall environment. S/he identifies, maintains, and broadens relations with stakeholders and facilitates ICRC’s access to a network of contacts.
Start date: September 2024 or immediately
