The Senior SAP Data Engineer will design and build robust data solutions, combining strong dataengineering capabilities with foundational solution architecture and data architecture skills.This role ensures scalable, integrated, and optimized SAP data systems that support analyticsand organizational strategy.Key Responsibilities:Data Engineering:Develop and optimize CDS Views (analytical, transactional, and consumption) to enable real-time data extraction and transformation in SAP S/4HANAUtilize SAP Data Sphere tools (Data Builder, Business Builder) to design logical data models, virtualized layers, and pipelinesEnable data flows with Data Integration Monitor for managing pipelines, data replication, and lineage trackingWork with Business Builder to define business entities, hierarchies, and key metrics for unified analyticsEnable data replication, integration, and harmonization across SAP and non-SAP systemsOptimize data flows and query performance, ensuring scalability for large datasetsCollaborate on designing end-to-end data solutions within SAP S/4HANA, SAP Data Sphere, and corporate data platforms in a cloud Define data integration architectures, aligning SAP systems with external tools, APIs, and enterprise data lakesCollaborate on alignment between SAP data solutions and overall IT architecture strategyData Architecture:Design logical and physical data models, ensuring consistency, scalability, and reusabilityDefine governance policies around data lineage, metadata, and master data management in SAP Data SphereEnsure that data solutions adhere to data security, compliance, and jurisdictional regulationsCollaboration and Enablement:Work closely with SAC Consultants and business teams to ensure data readiness for analytics solutions (dashboards, KPIs, and forecasting models)Provide technical leadership and guidance for junior engineers and cross- functional teamsDocument architecture, data flows, and integration points to enable transparency and maintenancePerformance and Resource Management:Optimize data resource usage for SAP systems to ensure high availability, performance, and scalabilityMonitor deployments and proactively address bottlenecks or failures within SAP data solutionsKey Requirements:4+ years of strong experience in SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics and SAP Data SphereStrong expertise in CDS View development, SAP data integration frameworks (e.g., OData), and performance optimizationExperience with data architecture principles, including data modeling, governance, and quality managementStrong skills in SQL, experience with SQL-based databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL) will be a plusETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Informatica or PySpark etc.), data treatment with Python will be a plusExposure to solution architecture: cloud integrations (AWS/Azure), hybrid deployment strategies, and end-to-end SAP solution designProven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, aligning technical solutions with business objectivesStrong documentation and analytical skills to ensure system clarity and scalability, including:Data modeling tools (e.g., ERwin, PowerDesigner, or similar)Documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, or MS Word)Project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)We offer: Opportunity to build your own processes and best practices;A dynamic team working within a zero-bullshit culture;Working in a comfortable office at UNIT.City (Kyiv).
