We are announcing a competition for the position of Safety and Security Manager.

Safety and security manager develops, supports and monitors the application of security measures of UFHZ and its founder HealthRight International (Right to Health) in Ukraine and security risk management for support staff, partners, events, facilities and assets, as well as program continuity. The Safety and Security Manager provides management support and technical solutions for managing safety and security risks in strategic planning, program development, monitoring and evaluation systems, and staff training.

Place of provision of services: Kyiv, st. Yevhena Chikalenko, 45/2, trips on security issues within the country (in particular, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava and other regions and regions, frontline territories).

Employment: 100% (full).

Main tasks:

  • Develops and implements workplace security processes in war and conflict environments, near combat zones, work travel in war/conflict zones;
  • Manages personnel security procedures such as personnel and vehicle tracking ;
  • Writes and updates the safety plan of UFHZ and HealthRight International in Ukraine and other mandatory documents;
  • Ensures compliance with safety rules, such as road safety requirements, safety measures and safety in UFHZ and HealthRight International in Ukraine;
  • If necessary, conducts risk assessments;
  • Oversees the implementation of security measures on the organization's sites communicates directly with site managers, regional representatives to identify deficiencies and support needs ;
  • Tests/maintenance inspections of protective devices and mechanisms such as fire extinguishers and escape ladders, ensure personnel are informed of safety rules in the event of an air alarm;
  • Conducts safety inventory checks;

  • Provide regular training of personnel on workplace safety and security, as well as personal and professional wartime safety briefings;
  • Continuously communicates with other agencies, participants on safety and security issues, implements best practices and lessons learned. Prepares situation analysis.

Requirements for candidates:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree;
  • Demonstrates the mission, values ​​and guiding principles of UFHZ and HealthRight International to help improve lives;
  • Responsibly and effectively uses time, talent, money, assets and natural resources to achieve plans and goals ;
  • Builds and maintains mutually beneficial relationships through solidarity;
  • Develops potential for oneselfe, staff and partners to continue to learn and innovate to better fulfill our mission.

A must!< /p>

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in the field of civil security and/or security management in a Ukrainian or international humanitarian organization, the UN or a relevant international organization development;
  • Formal technical training or professional certifications in safety, security and/or risk management;
  • Demonstrate understanding humanitarian standards and best management practices;
  • Experience working in a hostile or high-threat environment a plus;
  • First aid/medical qualifications a plus;
  • Tested knowledge English (level B1-B2 preferred);
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in security and personnel safety;
  • Ability to train and communicate information to non-security personnel;
