Solid understanding ofobject-oriented programming Expertise inthe following Ruby gems: Devise, Sidekiq, CarrierWave/Paperclip/ActiveStorage, Puma, ActionCable; Comfortable writing SQL when ActiveRecord isgetting inthe way; Experience with PostgreSQL Familiarity with concepts ofMVC, Mocking, ORM, RESTful, and GraphQL. Experience with front-end technologies, such asJavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. Knowledge ofserver-side templating languages such asLiquid, Slim, HAML, etc. Able toimplement automated testing platforms and unit tests. Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree inComputer Science, orarelated field, orability todemonstrate expertise inmodern development philosophy, operating systems, networking, Linux, SQL, and system architecture. Upper-intermediate English level Advantages: Experience integrating Stripe, Sendgrid, Drip, Mailchimp, Twilio Experience with ES6or Typescript; Experience inaprogramming language other than Ruby orJavascript; Comfortable using the terminal inmacOS orLinux. Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment. Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Prior experience leading ateam ormentoring junior developers Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain reliable systems inRuby and Ruby onRails. Integrate user-facing elements developed byfront-end developers with server-side logic. Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions tothese problems. Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation. Develop new system features, optimize existing ones, and maintain our existing portfolio ofapplications. Collaborate with product, design, and other software engineers todefine product roadmap and milestones. Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers.
