The project includes the development and training of media literacy teachers, conducting research and providing training for other target audiences. IREX in Ukraine is looking for a Regional Coordinator (in Lutsk and/or Volyn Oblast) for the L2D-Ed project, who will be the liaison link between the Kyiv project office and local stakeholders. The role involves organizing and conducting trainings, contributing to the development of educational materials and ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the project. This position requires experience in education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse audiences.
Responsibilities of the Regional CoordinatorL2< /strong>D-Ed include organizational communication, training and performance monitoring.
As well as the performance of additional duties and tasks to meet the needs of the organization, the team or as instructed by the manager.
Daily tasks include:< /strong>
- Performing the role of the Regional representative of the project and the main contact person between the project office in the city of Kyiv and local stakeholders, including educators, representatives of state bodies and local self-government, as well as departments of education and science.
- Assist in coordination and planning of project activities in the region, including presentation of project activities, development and approval of work schedules and establishment of systematic and effective interaction with local stakeholders, etc.
- Establishment and maintenance of effective communication with project participants, partners and local authorities.
- Organization and conducting of trainings and other educational events for the target audiences of the project.
- Assistance and participation in the updating and development of educational materials together with the team project and project experts.
- Development of programs and moderation of events for teachers and other target audiences of the project; providing support in the implementation of the project at the regional level in accordance with the developed work plan.
- Monitoring, evaluation and reporting in accordance with IREX standards and requirements.
- Conducting meetings, trainingsin, seminars and other project events in the region and providing administrative support for these events.
- Communication and collection of "success stories" and feedback from project participants in the region.
- Active cooperation and support effective internal communication with the project team at the head office in Kyiv.
- Ability to travel to other cities where the project is implemented and participate in joint trainings and meetings organized by the project team.
- Preparation of regional project performance reports.
- Adherence to organizational policies and procedures related to project finance and compliance.
- Assist in maintaining accurate reports related to project activities , including financial documentation, upon request from the project office.
- Assistance in coordinating the work of contractors and third parties involved in project activities to ensure compliance with project goals and compliance with organization standards, upon request from the project office.

Experience and SkillsRequired:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities sciences, education or other fields related to the project's activities.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in the educational field, development of training programs, educational projects and work with state bodies.
- Experience development of educational and educational materials, conducting trainings and other educational events is an advantage.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills and the ability to work with different age groups and adapt to the needs of the target audience.
- Excellent organizational skills skills, experience in organizing various educational events.
- Knowledge of basic and most common computer programs and tools (MS Office, Google Drive, Zoom, etc.).
- Ability to establish contacts and partnerships .
- Flexibility and willingness to work part-time (50%) with the possibility of several consecutive full-time days.
- Teamwork skills and willingness to work in virtual mode.
- Fluent command of the Ukrainian language, basic knowledge of English (preferred, but not required).
- Impartiality, empathy and neutrality at work.
- Critical thinking, flexibility and readiness to implement changes in current environment.
- Willingness to grow and develop. Participation in internal IREX preparatory trainings is mandatory.
- Willingness to travel (if necessary).
- Physical presence in the area of responsibility most of the working hours.
This position assumes official part-time employment (approximately 50% or 4 hours per day) in a remote format. The specific level of involvement will be discussed with the final candidates individually.
