Our work in Ukraine is part of a broader mission to provide medical assistance and support of local communities in emergency situations around the world.
Since March 2022, UK-MED has been working in Ukraine by involving various specialists in the field of protection health and non-medical workers to meet the needs of affected communities located in frontline and occupied territories.
We are currently inviting RCCE senior officer to join our team in Dnipro.
The main tasks of the position: strong>
- Design, development and provision of informational, educational and communication materials in cooperation with other structural divisions.
- Coordinate the implementation of initiatives by integrating with UK-Med teams, targeting IDP collection centers and using various communication channels to ensure wider outreach.
- Guidance on conducting an assessment of community beliefs that may influence health and other factors (and/or barriers) prompting health-seeking and informing the UK-Med program to introduce necessary changes, as well as adaptation of new materials.
- Support the MEAL coordinator and field coordinators in monitoring, reporting and training in the programs.
- Monitor important global health days (TB, HIV/AIDS, NCDs, NCDs, etc.), support field teams and the Mission team in organizing important events that would draw attention to such days through event planning and powerful strategies for working in social networks
- Participate in all RCDM meetings organized at the national or sub-national level (as appropriate) and maintain a coordinated working relationship, as well as, where possible, establish other relevant links with other partners.
Necessary skills and knowledge:
- medical education or higher education in related specialties (social work, etc.)
- possibility of business trips (Kharkiv , Zaporizhzhia, up to 50% of working time)
- fluency in Ukrainian and English (required)
- at least 2 years of similar work experience (preferably work experience in NGOs)
